View Full Version : Lakers are 26-30 with Lebron this yr (would've missed playoffs regardless of injury)

Otoh, it's easy to forget that:

- 32 year-old MJ led the teetering bulls to the playoffs in 95' when he came back

- 34-year old jordan led the bulls to the 1 seed without Pippen in 98'

- 22-year old jordan was injured nearly all year, but led the 86' bulls to the 8 seed (9-9 with MJ despite 25 mpg restriction)

But lebron's standard 27/7/7 proved impactless outside of his diluted, colluded and "fixed" Eastern Conference.. :oldlol: :facepalm.. what a historic year..

What about the rest of the team being injured?

Lakers went 15-8 went LeKang, Lonzwoah, DripKing, and KuzGod all played together.

Also the late 90's is easily the worst era of the modern NBA. Much worse versions of MJ, Pip and Rodman won more games than they did in their prime...wonder why?

Preinjury, even going through the growing pains of playing with high expectations on an entirely new team comprised of 21 year olds that had never played a solitaire NBA game together, LeBron had them at 22-14 on on a 48-win pace. So ,if 48-wins would've missed the playoffs then you'd be right. IF you take away the first 5-games of "growing pains" where they started out 2-3 then he had this summer league team on a 56-win pace.

But you're not right. You're a liar. And you always post bullshit, and this is why no one can take you seriously.

MJ is the GOAT punching bag...

-Never beat a super team
-0 and 6 vs Bird
-Losing record to Isaiah Thomas, too
-Won FMVP twice as top 15 lowest GameScore
-1-9 before Daddy Pip
-Isn't #1 in any stat (Points, rebounds, assists, steals, game winners, elim game ppg)
-Played teams that never won a chip (weak competition)
-His toughest opponent's #2 option scores 10 a game
-Never faced tough perimeter defense
-Left his 57 win team who went on to win 55 :lol

I mean, sheesh...

Btw, he only made a middling 4 seed in the East last year with a veteran, champion cast and a perennial all-star sidekick... so we should've known his shit wouldn't work out West...

Of course, we can ignore 2011-17 when he had super-teams.. and in 07', he replicated what AI, Kidd and Dwight did by making Finals in a weak conferene with a non-star cast - he should get knocked for failing to do it again in 09/10 and ceding the weak conference to Dwight and a 50-win Celtic team, despite being the heavy favorite both times.. he had to team-hop because he couldn't make the Finals again (07 was a fluke)

Those are the facts.. he's been overrated.. a stat whore that doesn't carry teams or win amongst real comp like he did in the East

The 86' bulls were 9-9 with MJ despite a 25-minute restriction, and 21-43 without him.. so mj fought like hell to get that 8 seed in his 25 minutes per game

And that's all that matters is being the 8th best team - requirements for the 8 seed will ebb and flow depending on the year (see 1989), but you always have to be the 8th best team to make it..

mj always managed to be at least the 8th best team when he had elite athleticism to will his team.. whereas lebron missed the playoffs THREE TIMES with elite athleticism.... :facepalm .. no heart.. no competitiveness.. a primadonna.. :confusedshrug:

And a shit brand of ball that doesn't really win in the playoffs without a weak conference where AI, Kidd and Dwight make the Finals, or a super-team..

Yes we know he broke his leg and only played 17 games. Isn't it funny the team did better the year he broke his leg? Also, Jordan still gets credit for making the playoffs right? So which is it?

1984. The 85 Bulls won 38 games, they won 27 the year before Jordan got there. They won 30 in 86, Jordan was supposed to miss that whole season due to injury but came back to push into the playoffs. Him arguing against his minutes restriction (IIRC about 15-20 mins per game) was the only way they got in

A very heroic carry job indeed. In the last 17 games those Bulls had to overcome the odds and go 5-12 to make the playoffs......:oldlol:

This was indeed respectable, but let's not forget he still had the rest of a team that had just won 69 and 72 games the previous 2 seasons. Oh and since this sort of thing matters to guys like you the west had 3 60-win teams that year, the east? 1.

My only problem here is he "led" them to a record this year's Lakers already surpassed. In his place this trainwreck of a squad still makes the playoffs.
