Brand was a top 5 PF when healthy for 5-8 seasons.
Same with Rasheed only he was consistently in the conference finals with various teams.
Do you think Zion will have a better career?

Zion is a generational talent, he could literally dominate in multiple sports (ala Bo, Bron, Deion, etc).

I don't understand how people on a NBA forum who religiously debate players can't see this

Williamson is going breeze past Brand/Rasheed's career high within his first two seasons :lol

He's 6-7. That's why they debate it.

Zion is averaging 22.5 ppg shooting 68.4%...... as a freshman. I am old af and i don't remember anyone that looked like him as a freshman.

Shaq 15 pts shooting 57% as a freshman
Barkley 13 pts 60% (closest comp i can think of to Zion offensively)
Blake 15 pts 57%
Brand 13 pts 59%
Sheed 10 pts 60%

He's only 18 too so it's possible he could still grow some more right? Giannis grew 2 inches after being drafted.

Have you watched any Clippers games? Montrezl Harrell is averaging 22/9 per 36 shooting 62% and it isn't because of his size. It is because of his athleticism and motor.

He was a 2nd round pick btw.

I think most people that haven't seen him play are going to be blown away by his passing and court vision his rookie year, similar to how Lebron was.

Everyone knows his physicality is outter worldly but his overall game at that size and speed is what makes him unique

High IQ player

Love both of those players but neither of them have the ceiling of potential that Zion has.

He's just a really unique blend of talent, athleticism, brains, coachability and size that only comes around once in blue moon (Lebron)

Like Rasheed and Elton a lot, both competitive and talented players. But Rasheed was a hothead and difficult to play with. Elton although talented wasn't an extraordinary athlete which limited his ceiling.

Zion doesn't seem to suffer from either of these setback, as he's an athletic monster and seems to be a great teammate and can keep his cool.

With two other top 10 picks in the lineup and plenty of mouths to feed...

AD averaged like 12ppg at Kentucky in a similar situation..

i'd take zion over brand, but not sheed.

That makes no sense considering Sheed was never close to as good as Brand was in 06 and 07 and didn't even reach his impact in 03, 04, 05 either.

For the 00s era, you easily take Brand or Sheed over Zion, and that isn't without thinking twice.

For this era, it's a lot closer, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable with taking Sheed and Brand, for knowing what we know about them versus taking the gamble on Zion. I mean, the way Montrezl Harrell is destroying this era, can you imagine Brand in the post? Or with stretch fours being a thing, someone like Sheed would feast.

Lamine Diane put up 25/11 with 2.2 blocks and 1.5 steals as a freshman

Lamine Diane shot 48.5%... at Cal State.

Brand was not fast. Great rebounder, good defender, but i don't see him as being comparable to Zion as a prospect especially as a scorer. He had no range on his shot. He made 2 three pointers in his career.

Zions freshman numbers are easily better than Brand's sophomore numbers. 5 more ppg on 6% better shooting.
