I don't know about the West this year being better than the West in the mid 2000s. Those Suns/Mavs/Spurs were easily better any team in the West outside the Warriors who are coasting. The league is more balanced overall though, East is pretty good this year

I'm not sure if you're attempting to be an idiot or whether you were born that way, but Kobe averaged 27.2 shots a game in 2006 to get 35.4 ppg while Harden has taken 24.8 shots a game to get his 36.4 ppg so far.

Kobe didn't have bogus trips to the line, scored in diverse ways, and was fun to watch, and the thread is about something else, which is whether Harden will surpass his shots per game average down the stretch just to catch Kobe which has nothing to do with team success and is therefore the definition of statpadding.
