he'll easily eclipse it, all while putting his team in a successful playoff position in a much tougher conference era

And just like that, 12be is now 15be
Kobe better HOPE Harden, Curry, or Durant pull a 95 Jordan and get another 2nd round bounce or his legacy is in big trouble.

I don't know about the West this year being better than the West in the mid 2000s. Those Suns/Mavs/Spurs were easily better any team in the West outside the Warriors who are coasting. The league is more balanced overall though, East is pretty good this year
Props to Harden, he knows he's not winning MVP or a ring so might as well continue to fool some people with these 40+ point games :lol

Of course the padder will do his best!No one scored more points in a single season in the last 30 years than Kobe did in '05. You get this close to usurping that feat you go for it. Houston's schedule is light, provided he doesn't sit out games he should be able to accomplish that.

Your math is off. He only needs about 27.2 ppg to pass Kobe inn ppg .He will do it in his sleep.
Just saw that you meant points total. That really doesn t mean much because Harden has already missed more games this season than Kobe did in 2006. He can be a better scorer (as he currently is) and still not reach the cumulative total.

Let's say we take 5 of Kobe's worst scoring nights off from his 06 season, he'd average 36.6 ppg for the season.
All the games Harden rested due to fatigue or whatever could have easily been his worst scoring nights, right?

Even for the worst Kobe fanboy on the site, thats really reaching:oldlol:
Kobe couldn't average 36 ppg because he simply wasn't good enough to ever do so.

You do know Kobe was on a winning team in 05-06 right?
With Chris Mihm and Smush Parker in his lineup

yup
but this is nothing knew for Harden, back in 2013 He and JLin alone had an identical record as Kobe, Nash, Gasol, Dwight, Artest

31 last night, here we go:roll:
A better thread would have been 'will Harden surpass 30 shots in every game until the end of the season in his attempt so reach Kobe'
Hes a disgrace of a chucker and padder. 23 shots for three with seven made... absolute disgrace.

I'm not sure if you're attempting to be an idiot or whether you were born that way, but Kobe averaged 27.2 shots a game in 2006 to get 35.4 ppg while Harden has taken 24.8 shots a game to get his 36.4 ppg so far.

Kobe didn't have bogus trips to the line, scored in diverse ways, and was fun to watch, and the thread is about something else, which is whether Harden will surpass his shots per game average down the stretch just to catch Kobe which has nothing to do with team success and is therefore the definition of statpadding. Since his shots per game average is even lower from the amount he will chuck now to pad his stats, its obvious you didnt understand shit and therefore literally an idiot.
