8 peat. Harden is so crafty (even more so than Jordan) his elite shooting would be even more deadly in the 90's due to teams defensive schemes consisting of nothing but packing the paint. On top of that Harden is a better passer than Jordan. Him and Pippen would flourish

- shortened 3pt line, check
- illegal defence enforced spacing, check
- unathletic bigs that can't close out, check
- 6'1 SG's, offseason buss boys at Red Lobster, check
imagen Harden's toughest competition being 35yo Jeff Hornacek, dude would fcking feast :oldlol:

Harden hasn't won in this era despite playing with 3 perennial MVP candidates (cp3, durant, westbrook)
so he stands no chance with just pippen and a strict offense that takes away his ball-dominance and most of his driving... :kobe:

With that studded defensive cast Harden would have no problem. On top of that he would most definitely boost Pippen into a much better player by multiplying his looks.

Pippen would be a spot-up shooter next to Harden, so the team would be worse than what the 90's bulls had
MJ gave us the best version of pippen, i.e. dream-teamer, HOF, 2-way player, etc
Also, Pippen had maximun looks as #1 option in 94' and averaged only 22.0 and 5.6 apg, or less than the 21.0 and 7.1 he got alongside MJ in 92'
so pippen played to full capacity next to MJ and MJ got the most out of him - pippen was Hof, dream-teamer, etc.. whereas harden makes him a spot up shooter with zero rings.. YIKES!!!!!

^^^^^ What could Harden do from those non-dribbling positions???.. MJ isn't dribbling there (triangle offense), so no dribble-step-back possible - Harden would be less effective from those types of spots where he isn't dribbling
Again - he stands no chance with a strict offense that takes away his ball-dominance and most of his driving

Harden can't palm the ball
He can't score well without a live dribble
So he'd suck in those spots from that pic
he'd also suck in the no-dribble triangle and couldn't make pippen better (turn him into spot-up shooter)

Better footwork, broader shoulders, eurostep. Harden would be too advanced for the 90s

Needs a live dribble
So he'd suck in the triangle
And the bulls would go from having 2 kawhi's - MJ/Pip - to just 1 with Pip/Haren
So clearly a much worse team with haren, aka mr. dribble

The Bulls defense will go down. The harder, less perimeter friendly rules will severely affect him since his game is specifically tailored to the current era. Flopping won't work, triangle offense. No freedom of movement rule. Then there's Jordan's clutch abilities, refusal to lose, leadership, etc. We're talking about two different animals.
Even Lebron might do better, and he's a man who lost as a favorite to Dwight Howard while on a 66 win team.
The 90s Bulls was just not meant for Harden. Perhaps a different team composition.

You're 100% right (as usual) but they're on damage control. Got to undermine the GOAT somehow. I wonder if they realize Harden is putting up better numbers than LeBron ever has despite playing a similar brand of basketball :lol
Anyway, due to the nature of 90s ball Harden would not be shooting anywhere near 12 3s a game and no coach will allow him since 36% - which is very good btw but not insanely good - would not be seen as high enough to justify it. People really underestimate how different league philosophy has changed
Plus defense was more physical, less space to operate, more stringent calls. The only perk for Harden is he would utilize the midrange shot more which would help in the postseason, but he would be less effective overall
Especially in Chicago which was big on ball movement, something LeBron doesn't do unless he sees an assist opportunity :facepalm
Don't get me started on defense...

Kind of like how the Bulls defense went down the first time MJ retired? :oldlol:

57 wins to 55 wins. They had a HUGE drop off once Jordan left. I've never seen such an impact as great as a 2 win drop off. Almost like when Kyrie left Cleveland for Boston and the Cavs dropped off 1 or 2 wins as well :lol

As an All-Star/leader, Harden's gotten to the Conference Finals once and been on one 60 win team his whole career. This is his 7th season like that now.
I wonder what the problem could be.
