I guess I should clarify which country I meant. I meant the United States. What do you think of that?

started watching the nba in 93 so it didn't bother me much

i remember only being able to watch maybe 30 regular season laker games a year till around 2008 when league pass streams started getting pirated in HD

Nationwide games alone were barely broadcasting in the states during the 90's

There was no TNT or ESPN or League Pass, they'd show NBC games on the weekends at most twice a month

It was all local games or WGN, that's why almost everyone in the midwest caught Bulls games because WGN had their rights

Perhaps not live. Even though the playoffs and especially the Finals were broadcast live fom 1989 on.

And there were games in the 80s as well. On Eurosport. Several games each week. All games? No. Live? No. But still.

I'm thinking back to 90 and 91, not being to watch NBA games during the week because we didn't have cable. I also was out of the country and people definitely knew about the NBA and NBA player. Bird, Magic, Jordan, etc.

ESPN has been on the air since 1979.

You make it sound like the NBA literally started in 1991.

Damn I thought you were way more in the loop with these things than me

I was young in HS after Shaq left the Lakers and I remember in 2006 watching all the Lakers games on my computer while living in NorCal in no lagging 720p quality from raptorsnation.com which later got shut down

That site was the shit, had every game and you could replay the games later if you wanted

Man I even miss back when the NBA would let you purchase a digital copy of a game for like $2 if you wanted, if I could go back I'd buy every Laker game from like 04-05 season to the start of the Pau era.. that was a great time

Wut?

TNT first came on air in like 1988, and before that TBS used to air national games. ESPN aired games in the early 80s. CBS used to own the rights to the NBA from the 1970s to 1990. Before that, ABC aired games. Not to mention NBC owning the rights from 1991 to the early 2000s.

Here, this can explain it better than I can:

How are players outside of the United States supporting the NBA by watching games for free by streaming? Do they think that the one jersey they buy every 4 years is the equivalent of those in the US paying high ticket prices and actually going to the games?

Yes, there are Hershey's Chocolate Bars in the Philippines, I'm sure you know that. And your keyboard matches the keyboard layout of the Philippines with the ALT-GR. You're at least not from the US. But all the evidence gathered shows that you're definitely from the Philippines.

Not sure why you want to hide the fact.

ALT-GR has nothing to do with the Philippines.

That's why I said that he's at least not from the US (like he claims). But that with all the evidence having been presented in other threads in conjunction with the international keyboard layout that's use in the Philippines. And a past video or picture of Manny98 posted by himself, wearing a Jordan jersey in the Philippines, all of the evidence shows that he's Filipino.

That bus stop looks like it's in London or something.

Which shows that he's just getting random Western pictures to try an prove that he lives in the US.
