2017 Russell Westbrook
2019 James Harden
2014 Kevin Durant

2001 Allen Iverson
2009 Kobe Bryant
2003 Tracy McGrady

Westbrook compared to Iverson is a very interesting comparison. I wonder who most people would rather have disregarding the other players in the OP.

To answer the question, in this era, team A

I'd take Team A also in this era, but it would be interesting if it was early 2000s. Only question is whether Team B can share the ball enough. They're all score first options, whereas Westbrook and Harden can be pass first, at least some of the time.

Team A, easily

Team B and easily...

Team A is fragile. All it takes is Westbrook to go Dumbbrook, Durant to be butthurt about it and start pouting/disengage, and Harden to go playoff mode.

A-squad

3 different players with adaptable and well round game

playmaking, efficiency, speed, strength and range

they'd be trading 2's for 3's, while KB, TMAC and AI clank iron from midrange on a high 30 percent clip

lol @ ball movement with Iverson + Kobe team, brick fest

Team B would win 4-1, assuming the rest of the players and coaching staff were equal.

AI would get 20+ free throws a game, all of which would be earned as opposed to Refden.

Ding, Ding

So in essence

2000 Era Stars > 2010 Era Stars

Without piggy backing Chef Dingo, Klay and Dray. Durant would have zero meaningful playoff success.

Iverson dragged a team through decent competition to the Finals. Kobe won 2 as alpha and went 3 times.

After further consideration, I change my answer to team B, in any era.

You have to differentiate between chuckers & ball hogs... None of the older trio dominated the ball, like westbrick and harden...that's a total teamwork killer right there that didn't even work out in real life...2012 thunder had the worst team assist rank in the NBA. so not only are Kobe mac and Iverson vastly more talented, their chemistry potential is much higher as well.

I can't think of a worse pairing of superstar talent than AI and Kobe. They'd kill each other.

Heh, Yeah that 2004 USA Team was truly something special :oldlol:

League was so diluted from 00-05 they brought up 3 rookies those the Olympics

Iverson's 14 seasons, only made it out 1st round 3 times

Tmac 15 seasons, never made it out the 1st round

Some big killers there, Coach :applause:

Meanwhile KD, WB and Harden: Finals - WCF - Semi's - Finals - Semi's - WCF - back n fourth - mix n match - since they were babies

Damn I torn between my love for Kobe and this big ether on Iverson and Tmac. Give Kobe another winner and its Team B...But pairing the two biggest losers who just score with my Kobe versus three proven winners means I gotta say...

Team...a :(

If AI, Kobe, and McGrady peaked in 2019 instead of the early 2000s, their stats would be very different. If I had to rank the six players listed in a vacuum (on ability, not legacy) during their peaks, I'm going Kobe, KD, McGrady, Iverson, Harden, Westbrook. I think it goes to team B on any court.

Team B would be far superior as a tandem.

Team A is held back by Westbrook. He's clearly the weakest link.

I don't think people remember that A.I. has the second ppg average ever in the playoffs still (behind Jordan).
