It's also a problem of being a bad matchup in terms of style, on top of Khabib being flat out better.

I'm not even super knowledgeable about the UFC but it's pretty clear that anyone in his weight class that tries to wrestle with Khabib(as if it's even a choice, haha) is going to get their ass kicked. His cardio is so far superior the other guys may as well tap at the beginning.
