View Full Version : What argument does Giannis have over Harden?

Defense?

Ok, he's a better defender but he's not more valuable on the whole

The Bucks are stacked and have been healthy all season. Middleton is the most underrated player in the league. He's like a more versatile version of Klay Thompson. Better ball handler, decision maker, and passer while being a comparable shooter and defender. Not to mention the production the Bucks have gotten from Lopez, Bledsoe, and Brogdon + solid bench.

They're the Warriors of the East.

Meanwhile Harden plays in a tougher conference and his team has dealt with more injuries while having the least productive bench in the NBA. Oh and he's averaging 37 ****ing points a game and 8 assists :biggums:

Stop it guys. James Harden is the MVP and better than Steph all-time. STOP IT.

Never thought I'd agree with you, great post :applause:

King James is the real MVP, the players themselves who guard both Harden and Giannis night in and night out have said so themselves.

Both need to do something in the playoffs before the real people care.

How many games did each team win (Goatbrook and ChuckBe) and what were their respective stats? Post them or you lose

He's better at flopping?

He's better at choking?

He's better at getting locked up by Manu?

Middleton is the most overrated player in the league by a country mile.

lol @ just casually throwing in "yeah he's a better defender" as if the defensive gap isn't absolutely monstrous. We're talking a top 3, at worst top 5 DPOY candidate vs. someone who at best you could argue is "hey guys he's actually not *that* shitty defensively".

Giannis is the more valuable two way player. Literally nobody predicted the Bucks to be this good and all this nonsense about how stacked the Bucks are is just people living in denial about how impactful a player Giannis is.

But at the same time Giannis did not deal with the injury stuff like Harden and Harden is putting down 36/8/7/2 big numbers and lead league with WS and BPM its so close

Not saying it isn't close. Just saying it's ridiculous to suggest Giannis doesn't have an argument, like OP is suggesting.

It's also lame that Giannis is essentially getting penalized by so many (not saying you specifically, but in general) for his team not dealing with as many injuries. It's not in his control who gets injured or doesn't, nor is it in his control the team that his front office puts around him.

If he has more to work with, okay, well he's actually done more with it too as shown by the Bucks having a substantially better season than the Rockets this year.

tbh I cant decide...Giannis leads Harden by a tick in PER 30.7 and 30.6 so shit like that is so damn close its cray shit this year

simple.

criticism on giannis: still no consistent 3pt.

criticism on Harden: "i just dont think the way harden play is basketball, he's manipulating the rule.. " can such play style goes deep into playoff? can harden stop relying on so much on drawing fouls? "i am not here to see these kind plays".

harden raises lot of question marks.

He's a much better basketball player?

The gap in defense is already huge, Harden is at best a hack on that end. Most of his deflections don't lead to anything and he's useless once he's out of the post. Giannis can impact the entire court and guard 1-5, it's honestly not even close.

Offensively he's a better decision maker and has a game that gels with other players better, also a ton of his turnovers come from offensive fouls not bad passes like Harden so his turnovers aren't as likely to result in an easy score on the other end. Harden's offense gets somewhat negated by the negatives he brings

That was easy :pimp:
