I'm sorry, but I think Gordon Hayward is dogging it. Not consciously or on purpose...but the Cs let him get too comfortable with his injury situation. He's got his college coach, a cushy 6th man job that guarantees him minutes, while at the same time he's not expected to be a productive team member. It'd be hard for anyone to truly push themselves in that situation.

I watched nearly every game of the 2017 Jazz and Hayward at this point is definitely looking like that player. The explosion isn't at that level and is likely never going to be and shouldn't be expected to be as he was 26/27 and going to be 29/30 next season, but he's definitely been getting back to himself skillwise since the all star break. Celtics really need to bench that black hole Morris if they are ever going to do anything in the playoffs, though. Hayward played 9/9 and scored 21 pts while that idiot chucker who thinks he's michael jordan went 4/13 for 11 points. I really have to know what Morris has on Brad that he keeps playing this fukking cancer. :facepalm

He’s the first option and a deadly low post scorer.

the celtics are preparing for the playoffs... theres no difference between the 4 seed or the 1 seed out there right now since the pacers arent better than 6-8 seeds anyways. rest is more valuable for them than HCA as well. This team is a whole different animal with a healthy kyrie & hayward leading them instead of terry rozier and jaylen brown...

lmao Hayward isn't back, the schedule has gotten easy and they've been playing crappy teams. This dude has been "back" like 10 different times now this season

Good luck doing that against the number 1 D in the league

You're a moron. (calling water wet obviously) Hayward has been playing strong since february. If he was in a situation like Paul George was where he could basically do whatever he wanted when he came back he'd have been progressing much quicker. As it is he's spent the majority of his time on the court with chuckers like Brown, Rozier, and Morris and he's such an unselfish team player that he hasn't really pushed to get his shots.

Why would I care about being taken seriously by a muppet who has never made one intelligent basketball post here? Having the respect from a knucklehead like you is the last thing I want.

Tatum confirms that Hayward's return cratered the 2019 Celtics

3ball called this because the stats showed that Hayward's return cratered Tatum/Brown across the board in 2019 (PER, BPM, VORP, WS/48)

As usual you're full of shit. Tatum's statements on the blame on to many guys (himself included) wanting to be the star player with emphasis on himself JB and Rozier not wanting to just be roleplayers. It was most definitely not just about Hayward coming back. In 2019 Hayward wasn't even a starter most games
