For 8 years we all knew who was going to the Finals so I have to think did LePhilanthropist miss the playoffs on purpose just to make this year interesting for the fans?

Otherwise we know he goes to the Finals and stomps on Embiid. Did he feel like he owed it the fans to give us a small break from his dominance? He will hit 7,000 playoff point next year and the next closest guy doesn't even have 6k.

A true fan's fan  LePhilanthropist

It’s honestly weird having a playoffs without him, honestly. But I mean, no not really. They weren’t going to do anything this year anyway. He wasn’t getting to the Finals regardless.

Pre injury they had a good shot. They were on a 49-win pace (still good for the 5th seed now) and they were a 4th seed then, too. They demolished the Warriors and were looking "good" for a moment despite missing Ball, Ingram, and Rondo for a number of games en route to the 49-win pace.

However, injuries plagued them and they never rebounded after nearly half the team has banged up at some point or another. :confusedshrug:

If LeBron doesn't go down maybe the team figures it out even better over the course of the year. They started slow at 2-3 and if you take those 5 "growing pains" games out they were on pace for 52 wins...

20-14 is a 48 win pace babyboi and 6th seed. Also a game or game and a half ahead of the 7th/8th seed

Nuggets had more injury issues and less games with their entire lineup healthy and were still top 2 in the West all season. Rockets, Jazz etc. every team had injury issues

not to mention Lakers didnt even hit the hard part of their schedule yet when they were playing their best ball. They had a very modest schedule

Lakers dont make the playoffs even w/ better injury luck. Best case scenario is fighting for the 8th seed:lol
