I know that part but I meant because the team was thinking about trading one of the two at one time and a lot of fans wanted to keep Ellis and trade Curry

Crazy to think how things would have played out had they wilted on Steph. He's been so pivotol to the success of the franchise, while blossoming into the greatest shooter of all time. No slight on Monta but Steph is on a different planet...

His early career injury woes may have played into that speculation.

They were just paying respects to that 07' Team because it was a special part of their history there.
