I remember when having HIV was treated as a form of death sentence.
and there was a great deal of sympathy for anybody who acquired it because that person was supposed to die soon.
but fast forward to today, HIV is like the very last thing on my mind when i think about magic johnson because i totally forgot he even had it.
I know medication has improved a lot but cmon, HIV is still a big ass deal, no? you know you'd freak the hell out if you found out your brother or cousin had it.
but there's no such feelings for magic johnson anymore. it's like he never had it.
