Think about that for a second...
Klay has been in the league for 8 seasons now, Curry has been playing for 10 years. Curry since 2015 has made 4.4 threes a game, Klay since 2015 has made 3.2 threes a game, the volume in which they make them is also GOAT level.
To keep things in perspective Reggie Miller only had a 5 year stretch where he shot over 40% in consecutive years, and a good chunk of those years came in the shortened 3 point line era. Ray Allen only shot above 40% in 3 consecutive years. Korver's high was 6 seasons.
Steve Nash had 11 consecutive years where he shot over 40%, but keep in mind the volume in which he was making them (1.6 per game) was no where close to Curry or Klay.
These are two of the greatest shooters ever and it's not even close.

Also the only two players with seven straight seasons with > 200 3PM. It would be > 250 for Curry if he had not missed so many games with injuries last year.

A good chunk? Only two years was the line even shortened, and Miller has 11 seasons shooting .399 or better from 3, not to mention clutch shooting moments that Klay doesn't have.
Not to mention Golden State runs an entire offense designed around 3 point shooting, not just part of an offense, they've been practicing it their entire lives unlike Reggie, etc.
Not to mention Klay is a third option. Why even bring Klay into this?
Anyone who doesn't think Reggie is a greater shooter than Klay is a moron.

It was three years where the NBA 3 point line was shortened, 95, 96 & 97. Miller's 5 year stretch where he consecutively shot over 40% was in that span (94-98), so yes...it's a good chunk.
Lets see, Klay is a career 42% from 3, Reggie is career 39.5% and also played 3 seasons with a short 3 point line. Klay makes 3 threes a game, where Reggie only made 2 a game in his prime if we take out the short 3 point line years. Klay makes them at a higher % and at a higher volume.
Klay a 3rd option? Why ignore his 2015 & 2016 years where he was the 2nd option and in that span shot 43% from 3pt and was making 3.3 threes per game in that 2 year span.
Get your head out of your ass.

These are two of the greatest shooters ever and it's not even close. there both ridiculous especially Steph but let's not get carried away. Regular season is a joke in this era. If you look at playoffs which is a much better indication you'll see that they're not that much better at all. Steph's best 3pt shooting percentage in the playoffs is 42% and he only has 3 out of 6 playoffs where he shot In the 40's. Rays not quite as consistent as Steph in the playoffs but he's extremely close and has a few years with a higher 3 point shooting percentage from three. Ray has obviously played more years though and in some of his playoffs played less games but again there very close in the playoffs. The same goes for Reggie.
Steph has always been a beast in reg season. When playoffs comes around hes still great he just drops off a bit and lots of guys in the present and past are actually very close to him.

Curry sure but I'm still iffy on Klay. I think some other guys if they have Klay's role can also shoot 40%. They just have more responsibilities.
because they play on the same team.
that shit will dip the moment they have to chuck threes on separate teams.

In the playoffs they both drop off tremendously.

As far as 3 point shooting... both Curry and Klay are career 41% 3 point shooters in the playoffs, still higher than Reggie Miller's and Ray Allen's career 3pt% in the postseason.

but the point is that they drop come playoff time and aren't way better as op suggests.
Reggie Miller's 39%
Ray Allen 40%
Steph and Klay 41%
They arnt even a full 1 percent better than Ray in the playoffs. Thats Hardly way better

Wow, way to ignore part of the post.
You're wrong; it was two years, not three.
Klay is the third fvcking option. Reggie was heavily guarded as the first option his whole career. Spoken like someone who's never played basketball.
Reggie has 11 years. Plus clutch shooting moments Klay doesn't have. Klay isn't close.

this is basically the lamest attempt I've ever seen to propagate someone as a better shooter than one Reggie Miller. Reggie didn't practice threes his whole life like Klay did and he's still the greater shooter.

The fact that you still think it's two years is hilarious. Since you are a little slow I will show you proof that the NBA did indeed shortened the 3 point line for three seasons...

Why? By providing basic facts that prove Klay was indeed a better 3 point shooter? I already showed you Klay made threes at a higher volume and at a higher %.
And I actually showed you that as a second option in 2015 & 2016, Klay shot 43% from three, making 3.3 threes a game.
The funny thing is, if you take out the years where the NBA didn't have a short 3 point line, Reggie only had 7 seasons where he shot 40% or better from three, Klay already has 8 and he hasn't even hit age 30 yet.
You use Klay being a 3rd option against him in this argument, but playing with great players doesn't all the time translate to a more efficient game. I remember when Durant joined the Warriors people said he would be getting easy threes all the time because of the attention Curry and Klay would get, but guess what? Durant actually shot the 3 at a higher percentage in OKC than he did in Golden State.

Klay is the third option on a team that runs an offense constantly setting screens that give him open looks at the basket. Since Reggie was the first option his whole career, he didn't get a lot of open looks. There are 11 seasons of .399 or better for Reggie. Klay practiced the three his whole life. You don't have a good argument.

2 of the best and most consistent shooters of all time. You can bet if Klay is off to a bad start (like this year), he will get hot somewhere in between the season and maybe for a month shoot 60% to round it up around 40%. Plus you know the Warriors system will eventually get everyone going. Even Draymond was on fire yesterday.
