In the last 30 years he's quite clearly the best player to not win an MVP. He had several seasons where he could have won it. In 09' he could have easily won it but his roster was horrendous and the Heat did not win enough games. Also, in 2007 he was playing about as well as anyone in the league before he hurt his shoulder.

He had his meniscus removed.. I think that's what he's alluding to. That meniscus injury & removal caused him all this knee pain that shortened his peak & his career.
