The guy genuinely didn't want to be traded to the Knicks. Chicago kid through and through. refreshing in the era of team hoppers

This. Kanter cried on camera when he found out he was going to the Knicks.

And as for the most loyal, easily McConnell. Took a minimum wage extension instead of hitting the market where he could easily get 15-20M. Remember when LeBron was campaigning for a McConnell trade back in Cleveland? No wonder the team fell apart, they had to settle for Rose instead.

If Derrick Rose produced gas, OP would call it perfume.

Dirk? :confusedshrug:
Dirk had a loyal GM. But the dude is German. Kanter is Turkish, he liked OKC but Rose and Chicago is a whole other level. Rose came from Chicago, and wanted to stay in Chicago instead of going to the Mecca of basketball.

People thought 'the kid from Akron' would be like that, but he bailed on his home not once but twice to chase rings.:facepalm

tears of loyalty or tears of broken ego? :confusedshrug:

you go from being league MVP to being the guy who's quietly told, "we have lost faith in you, we don't want you anymore. you are not important to us."

going through something like that is obviously an emotional roller coaster ride, so those tears might not necessarily have to be related to loyalty.
