Has there EVER been a perimeter that relied on Dunks/Layups THIS much?
This really goes to show that "shooting above 50%" doesn't mean shit. This dude is practically guarded like Ben Simmons.
When you look at these numbers, Keep in mind that virtually NO ONE has guarded him during the actual game on the perimeter since like 2013. You have a few guys that go out of their way to embarrass him so they play up on him (Kawhi/KD). But players go underneath every screen and DARE him to take open/semi-contested jumpers on a nightly basis which really hurts the offense.

Defenders back off of him because he's one of if not the the most dangerous slash/pass player of all time. Kobe stans can't relate. He averages more attempts from 3 on a better percentage than your boyfriend Kobe:lol

Bron's had a respectable jumpshot for a while. Free throws on the other hand...

It becomes respectable in the midst of a game where he's made one or two contested jumpers. But players still leave him open/go underneath EVERY screen and play the drive with very little concern of the consequence. Just weird for a perimeter player, I guess.

Lebron lacks the jumpshot that old MJ used to maintain MVP status at 35 years old, and therefore lacks the necessary skills to make a "comeback" next year as the best player
When MJ was 34, he made 727 jumpshots at a 52% efg - that's twice the volume of lebron or curry's typical season, at better efficiency than lebron's best season (see stats in previous post above)
So goat jumpshooting - that's how MJ remained the best player at 35 (MVP/scoring champ/FMVP)
And it should be noted that MJ's goat volume is a reflection of the of his goat jumpshooting skill (fadeaway).. only MJ and Kobe are capable of that VOLUME, and at better efficiency than Lebron's best

Should he scoot back farther to make the shots harder on himself or try to get closer what is a better idea
Bonus question if its so easy to score in the paint why dont more players do this

How many when your team is down / behind? Probably like 1-2 for LeGBT.
All his are "we're tied - no pressure if you miss - just go to OT". Also against stunning teams like the Pacers and Raptors last year.
Jordan did this shit with all the money on the table. And in the finals on multiple occasions. And from behind (1991 game 2 to go into OT, 1997 twice, 1998 game 6, etc.)
Lebron in the finals on game winning shots - 0/9.:facepalm

Well he's almost as big as a center - if you ever watch basketball centers generally have a higher FG%.
He's just a lousy jumpshooter. You know it and I know it. He has a stiff arm / spin move, (most are really travels). Lousy footwork and back to the basket play. Period. He never "evolved". Has times where he gets hot from the field, but overall and consistently, a rather poor shooter all things considered.

So then I am assuming your not the only person who knows this "supposed" information so then why dont they stop him if he has no moves how does he have more points than Mike in the post season? Are defenders that dumb or are you that smart or is LeBron that great or are you lying

I spit facts. I said he maybe had 1-2 in a billion playoff games where they were behind.
Most of his late game scoring is when they're tied or ahead.
Tell me one game winner hit hit in a finals game. I'll be waiting a long time (i.e. forever) for this.

And it should be noted that MJ's goat volume is a reflection of the of his goat jumpshooting skill (fadeaway).. only MJ and Kobe are capable of that VOLUME, and at better efficiency than Lebron's best
.
Why did you include so many Lebron seasons and so few Kobe/Curry seasons?
Honestly at a quick glance, this seems like Kobe and Lebron are basically on the same level for eFG on jumpshots.

Hell, how did he put up like 32/10/10 on great efficiency 4 years in a row in the finals against the best the West had to offer???

? Got exposed?
I just spit facts. LeGED has been to the finals 9 times. He has 0 game winners in 49 final finals games. 18 wins, 31 losses.
This "clutch" stat is a ESPN type manipulated stat - ie "go ahead" scoring, and playoffs.
What about come from behind to take the lead or to tie? IE Jordan at the end of regulation with 5 seconds left, game 3 1991 series. Series tied 1-1 with game(s) 3-5 headed to LA. LA would have been up 2-1 in that series had Jordan not hit one of the most clutch shots to tie and force overtime.
But does that fit into the "ESPN Clutch $tat doe" metric? Lebron hitting a shot in the 1st round against lowly Indiana (who NEVER should have even been allowed to go 7 games vs. Lefraud anyway) with the score TIED?
Do you understand basic things like Shot A): First round, tie score, hit shot vs. Shot B) Finals series, from behind, if I miss we may lose series? The level of pressure between these two are night and day. Shot A at worst leads to OT.
Think about context. It matters. Make mine "Mike" every day of the week.

All these great players are in the top 1% of salary earners in the World. Fact get in the way of your delusions though.
Fact: Prior to that Lebron missed two shots: A 3 pointer and 2 pointer. Is 1/3 good?
Fact: Miami was up 90-88 PRIOR to that shot - again, no pressure. This happened right after Timmy missed that tip-in that I'm sure haunts him to this day. So, it's not a game winner. Happened with 27 seconds left, team already up 2 (that made it 4).
Fact: Game 7 doesn't even happen without game 6 and Ray Allen's shot.
But, carry on. If this is where you hang your hat (up 4 pt jumpshot with 27 seconds left after missing 2 shots) being "clutch" then go for it.

Lebron had a respectable jumper in Miami. For a couple of seasons at least.
The stats outside of 5 feet are incredible though.
On offense, Lebron really does get by because of athleticism. Well that and his height. Can't knock someone for knowing their limitations, but without the assists, you'd think your reading the profile of a center :oldlol:

actually Lebron has the most clutch finals performance ever by your own standards, in this very thread.
How many when your team is down / behind? Probably like 1-2 for LeGBT.
All his are "we're tied - no pressure if you miss - just go to OT
Because if they came in a tie game or up they don't count as clutch right? So how about when your series is tied or you're up a game? Is that still clutch?
So my real question is how many of MJ's finals winners came while he was down in a series? How many of MJ's "legendary" games came facing elimination? Or even down in a series? Lebron has the most cutthroat performances in playoff history, don't embarrass yourself here with stupid logic. Lebron is as clutch as anyone to play the game.

The idea isn't to lose or be down in a series
Most series are won because the competitor comes thru when they have a chance to go up in a series, or win it - mj came through in these moments, so he won more.
Otoh, Lebron screws up these spots that winning competitors typically succeed in, thus getting down in the series and building a more losing record overall as a result
Btw, MJ won various playoff series with shots, i.e. 1989 1st round, 1993 ecsf, and 98' Finals.. he also hit shots to go ahead in various series, i.e. 89' ecf, 97 Finals, game 3 of 91' Finals.. to name a few

Lebron 2006 (http://stats.nba.com/player/2544/shooting/?Season=2005-06&SeasonType=Regular%20Season): 41.7%, 423/1166 <----- lebron's highest VOLUME year
Lebron 2013 (http://stats.nba.com/player/2544/shooting/?Season=2012-13&SeasonType=Regular%20Season): 49.0%, 333/784 <----- lebron's highest EFFICIENCY year
Jordan 1997 (http://stats.nba.com/player/893/shooting/?Season=1996-97&SeasonType=Regular%20Season): 51.2%, 727/1528 <----- nearly twice the volume with better efficiency than lebron's best
And it should be noted that MJ's goat volume is a reflection of the of his goat jumpshooting skill (fadeaway).. only MJ and Kobe are capable of that VOLUME, and at better efficiency than Lebron's best
.
Great stuff... kobe & mJ both had seasons where they hit 700+ jumpers.
You could also see from the data why lebrons numbers and efficiency are better than ever the past few years... hes completely outsourced his jumpshot.
itd be cool to see where dirk stacks up.

The idea isn't to lose or be down in a series
Right dummy the same as the idea isn't to be down or lose a game. It's a sport buddy. You and Shaq there share the same stupid logic, you sure you guys aren't.......

Lebron does what he does best. Drive to the basket and score in the paint (but not so much in the post - funny).
I ignore his FG%, same with Giannis. Especially across positions. TS% matters more because it takes into account three point percentage and attempts along with free throws and jump shots (the best indicators of pure shooting skill).
But he will not acquire a respectable jump shot. That ship has sailed. He has his gifts and he sticks to using his size and athleticism to get his points in the paint and in transition.
He plays a lot more like a power forward than anything. The only difference is he has great vision.

Arbitrary - Lebron has played in the Finals 9 times. 49 games. Only won 18. But that's neither here nor there.
List all of his Finals game winning shots please. Had damn near 50 tries at it.
I'll be waiting.
you're all over the place
had damn near 50 game winning attempts in the finals? dumbass lol
LeBron's J is great, peaked last year, probably.
Lebron had a respectable jumper in Miami. For a couple of seasons at least.
The stats outside of 5 feet are incredible though.
On offense, Lebron really does get by because of athleticism. Well that and his height. Can't knock someone for knowing their limitations, but without the assists, you'd think your reading the profile of a center :oldlol:
yeah, respectable, that was it...
he was still singled out for it, barely shot 3's in 2012... but as Kerr said, when it really became elite in Cleveland circa '16 is when he reached MJ.

Do you have them?
I know he barely took 3's in 2012, I know that almost all of his scoring in the 2012 finals came within 6 feet, that he was made to shoot in 2013 by Diaw...
where as 2016 finals LeBron and every LeBron after terrorized teams with his jumper, traumatized Toronto, hit game winners with it everywhere, basically made his post game fade a regular shot to his arsenal, and dropped 50 on GS last year in the GOAT finals game where the threat of the J set up his whole game.
