Will Curry find a way to break into the top 15 all-time best Finals performances? Giannis? Harden? Durant, again?

Everyone else in NBA history = 0 occurrences

The top 15 best Finals performances are held by only 6 players and only 4 players have done it multiple times and only ONE player has done it 4 times.

You shouldn't be allowed to talk about Gm Score if you have no clue what it means.

And 15 is such an odd number. Its too 10, 20, 25. No one stops at 15.....

He knows exactly what he's talking about.

Game score is literally the most accurate measure to use. What do you suggest we use? Our feelings and emotions?

Durant will probably have 3 after this year, but idk if he'll make the finals again after he leaves GS.

Harden probably won't make the finals again, Giannis it's too early to tell.

Great assessment, I agree. That would mean that the top 15 Finals performances are only held by five players in NBA history, if Durant is able to knock out Hakeem

No it's not. Maybe it's the most accurate thing to use on Basketball Reference, but it's barely any different than just using PER

Wrong. PER was admittedly made by Hollinger to make Jordan look great.

So use emotions? Your feelings?

Exactly what I would suggest. If you want to enjoy things that are of a subjective nature (food, music, women, movies, books, basketball, etc.) go with how you feel.

You don't care what the most popular movies is and you don't care what critics say the best movie is. You like what you like. Going with emotions and feelings is not a bad way to go at all when it comes to having a good time.

As it should be, it only makes sense that GOAT caliber players would have multiple top finals performances.

The funny thing is "Lost Cause" probably shouldn't want to use PER for Finals measurement because LeBron's best is above Jordan's best and his second best is above Jordans' second best :lol

Also, Gasol was higher than Kobe in 2010 :(

Careful what you wish for, Lost Cause

LeBron 2016 35.1
Jordan 1991 34.1
Shaq 2001 33.8
Wade 2011 32.6
LeBron 2014 32.6
Jordan 1993 31.7

So the 2016 finals where LeBron finished 1st in everything isn't even ranked a top 10 finals performance according to OP.

Got it.

Btw he still hasn't explained game score ROFL

Explain to me why it's worse, logistically. Without doing that, the bolded is the same as believing something based on feeling, or personal opinion.

You guys are too caught up in standoms and having agendas. I'm not against using any metric just because it makes one player look better than the other.

That said, your numbers are wrong? LeBrons PER in 2016 was 33.4, not 35.1
https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/stats/2016/Advanced_Stats/Qualified/per/All/desc/1/Playoffs_NBA_Finals
(You can just change the years or series as needed from that page)

The 35.1 was based off his PER though 6 games. Which you got from this page it appears
https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/242277/LeBron-James-Has-Highest-Finals-PER-Since-Shaq-In-2002

2016 went 7 games. His end-of-series PER was 33.4. Which means Jordan does have the highest between them, so that statement was wrong

The rest of the list is accurate but since the page you got your information from stops at 2016, here are the highest since 2016:

Durant 2017: 32.6
LeBron 2017: 31.0
Durant 2018: 31.4

And you forgot to mention Shaq's outrageous PER
Shaq 2002: 38.5
Shaq 2000: 36.6

Last thing I want to point out here is that I actually never said PER was better or good to use. I said it's very similar to GameScore in that both miss out on way too much to be used singularly to tell the "greatest" series. Logistically, Gamescore is a simplified version of PER. There are much better metrics than both

I agree, so you two should probably shut up about it :lol

For anyone that is as clueless as the idiots above, please read what Game Score is:

Game Score was created by John Hollinger to give a rough measure of a player's productivity for a single game.
