That's pretty boss.

Can you make money with that or is all your footage copyrighted?

I had a lot more on my original YouTube account that got banned by...of all people...the nfl.

Made 300 nba videos and they never had a problem. 2 nfl videos got my first account deleted.

A few old ish posters uploaded the ones I made before YouTube existed and some of those are in the millions.

I get nothing off it.

I’ve had offers to work with a couple sports networks and some ask permission to use things I’ve made as if they don’t know I don’t own the content....but that’s it.

Stern basically said they don't enforce copyrights regarding highlight videos etc. because it's it helps promote the game if memory serves.

Via fair use some of that may have potential to be copyright to you Kblaze, but if I recall you generally use straight music tracks for audio correct? in which case the music industry will always swoop in and claim ownership to prevent your creative work mixing footage from being considered yours. NBA seems pretty relaxed about channels creating new content with their source material but the music industry is a different animal lol

I uploaded a NBA video before I closed my account, it had over a million views and the NBA monetize it instead of taking it down.

i made a viral video with almost 1.5 million views. no copyrighted material. all footage were original and shot by me and on my camera so that was pretty fun.

if my account was monetized, that video alone could have brought me $3-5K.

Becoming a partner is difficult, you need 4000 hours of watchtime and 1k subs in the span of one year and even then you will be reviewed manually before being approved.

i have those passed easy.

i was never doing it for the financials nor the career potentital.

because i was *never* an aspiring "youtuber." i already have a real job in the real world.

the youtube thing was always just for fun.

Link to your channel?

if you understood how ISH worked, you'd agree that would not be wise.

i can show you my analytics page though. i blackened out the video titles so nobody can search me. at least not easily.

Those are great numbers although there is no reason to avoid linking your channel if you are public on the most viewed platform on the Internet.
