Didn't cry when he won though. Probably knew it was meaningless winning with a superteam. 2017 was the most anticlimatic 'first ring' moment for a superstar. (Reminds me of Lebron's first ring). Compare to the ebullience of Kobe's first ring, or Shaq's collapsing of emotions, or Dirk in complete disbelief. KD And Lebron bought their first rings.

He good.

When Durant shows up, he is the best in the world and has been for years, as you say.

He has been clear cut better than Lebron head to head for at least 5 years. Absolutely destroyed him back to back with Lebron in Cleveland.

It was Westbrook that choked.

No one can control Westbrook. Look at OKC now.

It seems you're right, I remember it wrong. Looked it up and KD averaged 29% in the 4th quarter that series. Damn, that's horrible. Westbrook wasn't much better though and averaged almost as many turnovers as assists in the 4th.

Durant's the most underrated player in the history of sports

He's literally top 2 all-time. He's the clear-cut leader and best player on the best dynasty in modern basketball history... GOAT team/Dynasty

Before that he carried a franchise that was at the bottom of the barrel before he came and switched cities because of it.

OKC replaced him with Paul George and they're getting worked and embarrassed in the 1st round every year

LeBron and KD are the greatest players of all time

The earliest you can argue Durant's case is 2014.

Definitely the best PURE scorer of his generation though.

And if we're being honest? EASILY Top 5 in that regard.

Lebron - 29.7 ppg 56%TS
Durant - 30.0 ppg 54%TS

Game 7

Durant 27 points 60.5%TS
James 27 points 47.5%TS

Westbrook also put up pretty much the same numbers at 27/7/11/4 vs Lebron's 30/11/9/3 for the series.

Everyone puts up stats vs. Golden State. Lillard in 2016 averaged 32/4/8, Harden 27/5/8.. Kawhi was dismantling their defense before his injury in 2017.

Lebron had the better teams in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016. Warriors play at a ridiculously high pace and they love playing smaller line-ups, so most stars put up numbers against them.

The game was over in 1 quarter last night because the threat of a great, efficient scorer impacts the game more than Lebron's triple-double, westbrooking style.. especially when that great scorer is also an elite all-round player, and 2-way player

Durant didn't get the benefit of Draymond being suspended

Otherwise, lebron loses in 5 and durant in 7

Or if Dray was suspended vs OKC, they win in 7 or 6

Btw, Lillard > Westbrook and Durant > lebron, so these playoffs are proving that scoring and clutch > rebs assists

Leaving out FT shooting and Game 7 performance. If Only KD had an Irving to score 40 in elimination or hit a game-winning shot.

Also, what were Lebron's averages before Draymond's suspension and injuries to Bogut and Iguodala?
