Nobody had Kobe over LeBron since 2008.

And nobody had Kobe as the best in 2006 and 2007 when he was losing in the 1st round

Kobe was never the best player in the league

I watched 3 plays - they were all transition so I turned it off

Lebron isn't as bad as Ben Simmons, but he isn't goat-level in the half court

And he only needed 28/8/7 to get 66 wins, so his cast and coaching was vastly underrated

How was LeBron even the best that year is perplexing. His team won 62 games, pretty healthy throughout the year, had several players who were all-star caliber including a former MVP, a solid coach who has contributed to 2 dynasties (Spurs and Warriors), a team of role players who compliment bron ball, and home court locked up

Yet despite all of that and starting the series 2-1 they still lost to the Celtics. Don't get me wrong, that team was way better than their record indicated, they were fatigued/coasting but Cavs should have still won.

Game 5 at home with a 2-2 tie and this is it (http://https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201005110CLE.html)??

6-16 is humiliating, no surprise it was already a worldwide consensus in 2008

Lebron left Cleveland in 2010 because he couldn't make the Finals with a star-less cast like Dwight did in 09', or lebron in 07', or Kidd/AI from 01-03'

So he only carried soup cans to the Finals when everyone else was also doing it, and actually needed needed super-teams to make it from 11-17', and the best 2nd option in the conference to make it in 18'.. :confusedshrug: ..

Now carry on..

Why did the Cavs win 19 games this year.

Why didnt they win 55 games like the 1994 Bulls

The 18' Cavs played weaker basketball than this year's Clippers, who are doing much better vs the Warriors than the Cavs record blowout last year

Otoh, the 94' bulls had developed the best brand of basketball and teamwork of the era, as required to build any dynasty

So the bulls had a the best brand of ball to fall back on, despite the loss of a great talent.. whereas the cavs were playing LeShit ball and couldn't stand the loss of a talent

Forget replacing Jordan with Carmello Anthony you can literally delete Jordan from a team and they only go down by 2 wins :lol

When Jordan left the Bulls
57 to 55 wins (2 win impact)

When Kyrie left the Cavs
51 to 50 wins (1 win impact)

Jordan is just a taller Irving, impact wise. Might get you a win or two at most.

Too bad I can't add this to the OP, but here is some more information for your viewing pleasure:

Playoff scoring efficiency *minimum 150 games played

FG%

Kobe = .448

3P%

Um...Yikes
If a player shoots 20 times at 57-58% true shooting, then why not shoot 25 times at that efficiency???.... :biggums:

MJ has the same shooting efficiency, but took more shots and scored more ppg

So MJ just did more.. :confusedshrug:

And again, the OP stats are career totals and based on games played (total points, vorp, win shares)... But MJ did more per game (ppg) on better overall efficiency per possession (118 offensive rating), with better "rate" stats that aren't biased by number of games played (PER, ws/48, usage)

Exactly... :applause: ... And lebron's Cavs were favored to win the Finals right before the playoffs began:

Ultimately, Lebron left Cleveland in 2010 because he couldn't lead a star-less cast to the Finals like Dwight in 09', or lebron in 07', or Kidd/AI from 01-03'

.
There's nothing wrong with bringing up the playoffs that year, where the Cavs were favored to win the Finals right before the playoffs began:

https://www.thespread.com/nba-articles/041609-2009-nba-finals-odds-to-win-cleveland-cavaliers-54-favorites-to-win-nba-title

But lebron's spot-up shooter approach wasn't a high brand of ball, so he couldn't elevate his team over Dwight

Ultimately, Lebron left Cleveland in 2010 because he couldn't lead a star-less cast to the Finals like Dwight in 09', or lebron in 07', or Kidd/AI from 01-03'

Indeed, he only carried soup cans to the Finals when everyone else was doing it, and actually needed needed super-teams to make it from 11-17', and the best 2nd option in the conference to make it in 18'.. and a very weak conference of course..
