I bought PS4 a couple years after release, so i'm like you and got a whole bunch of classics backlogged that I bought cheap for $5-$20. Still haven't installed Witcher 3/GTA V

So Helblade is really good then? Worth a shot? I always overlooked it because no one really raved about it.

Right now I'm playing Dying Light. Good early ps4 game; while I wait for Days Gone, whixh comes out next week.

Also had gotten Shenmue 1 and 2 for ps4, the first one has some glaring flaws ( all the damn waiting), but I've read they improve a lot with the second. Interesting game so far, dated though.

Hellblade is the best indy game i've played, it's practically AAA. Very dark and morbid story, nothing else comparible to it narrative wise.

Mechanics and game play are a similar to GOW puzzle solving and Soulsbourne fighting. Check out some walkthroughs

Not a super long game, but well worth it for $20 or when it's on sale

Metal Gear Solid (1998) was just a different beast than all other PS1 games of that era

It wasn't the first true stealth game, but it was by far the best stealth game ever made at the time. It was Hideo Kojima's homerun

There was no hyper realistic games that let you go from 3rd person to 1st person binoculars like Metal Gear. No cutscenes like that, no deep lored out stories.

I played Metal Gear and MGS3 on PSNow, it's kinda rough because it's outdated.

They WILL Remake Metal Gear no doubt, lots of rumors Bluepoint is already cooking up that and Konami also let a sub party do Silent Hill remake.

I'm pretty stoked for Elden Ring coming out. I try not to let myself get too hyped for games anymore, but I can't help it with this one.

Fromsoft has the best bosses bar none:

Lady Maria from Bloodborne, Isshin the glock saint, Slave Knight Gael, Artorious. The pvp is as good as it gets for a non-shooter too.

Speaking of pvp been meaning to try For Honor, but can't get enough of my friends on board for that one.

Hell yeah, I'd throw in the Owl Father (both Owl fights really) and Orphan of Kos and that'd round out the best ones. I just recently beat Dark Souls 2. The only one I haven't played is Demons Souls; I want to play the original.

That new PVP game Chilvalry looks good, a lot of For Honor fans swear by it. Give it a look.

They're fun to play but can give you headaches if you mostly get lots of losing streaks because of teammates who are dumb. :oldlol:
