View Full Version : How many of you rock a beard?

I know for a fact a lot of you are incapable of actually growing any substantial amount of facial hair, so this thread isn't for you.
I'm curious how many of you have a beard and what's the longest you've ever let it get? My beard is longer than it's ever been right now. Some chicks love it. Some REALLY hate it.
I like it. I've always enjoyed it. Not sure how much longer I'll go. It's a decent amount below my chin at this point and thick af. I really enjoy it.
What say you, ISH, about beards and facial hair in general?

I've been rocking a beard for 5+ years now, was never clean shaven in that time period, although I do like to keep it trimmed.
I shave the hair on my neck, neck beards are awful.

The shaved head with a full beard look is disgusting, unless you're going for that sand person goat fu*ker look..
Trimmed stubble or a few days growth looks good though.

I rock a full beard and my girlfriend prefers clean shaven. Nowadays I buzz it with a 1.5, but I used to have it long and bushy. It was looking straight Amish back in 2014

I had a beard for about 3 years, shaved it off about 6 months ago so I only have a goatee atm. Never let it grow too long, 3 or 4 inches at its longest, not a fan of the zz-top/sand ni*ger look.

Because a lot of people with less hair think adding a beard is a good look.. I didn't say on myself..
should we add illiterate to yours ?

From 23 to 61 have had one.
About 7 years ago , started wearing a go-T and winters a trimmed beard .
I have 6 months of winter, and still have snow on the ground as I type.
Was in my late 20's and had as long as my nips , but didn't like it.

It's the NY Post. Aside from that: Read the article. It states you carry poop in your beard, if you play with your face without washing your hands.
Well here's the news. If you touch a beardless face after rubbing your hands on a toilett stall handle you will just have as much fecal matter in your face.
Smartphone are way more dangerous when it comes to bacteria. People touch alot of conterminated stuff all day and then their phone.

Bingo. Has nothing to do with beards, lmao. It's called being a dirty **** that wipes their ass and then doesn't wash their hands... which is at least half of you.

yeah but most people forget to wash their beard thoroughly or at all in some cases. and the dirt sticks to hair while skin is constantly shedding on a daily basis. so it doesnt collect unless you have a beard.
and i know about dirty phones. everyone brings them to the washroom. but theyre a necessity and serve a purpose. beards dont. i keep a bit of stubble at most

I hate people who don't wash themselves on a regular basis.*
I work with chemicals quite alot, so I have to wash hands atleast once an hour. Still paranoid when I touch my face. Don't get how people can't keep from rubbing their faces, beard or not.
*Got a friend like that. It's disgusting when he comes to the black top without showering.

you have to have a specific face for a beard to work .. and full coverage, none of that patchy wispy gay shit .. and not only that it usually makes you look older and not in a good way .. I'll pass .. very few guys can actually rock the beard look .. a lot of guys with beards think they do but they don't .. team stubble here

Long beards are proven to be unhygienic. Studies show them to carry more germs than a dog's coat

I am blessed/cursed with genes that make me look young so I always keep my facial hair but trim it once a week.
Long facial hair is annoying but I hate having a baby face.

I was reminded in the first paragraph I cant grow one. :(

For years. I do shape up, trim every week. During winters, I tend to grow thicker beards.
Favorite haircut is a low taper fade, shape up the beard, and have my hair combed to the left. I usually don't get fades though unless it's a nice event I'm attending or a hot date. Takes way too long at the place I go to. They do amazing fades and I got a ton of complements when I started rocking that look.

I'm at seven years right now with mine. I've always kept it fairly close cropped.
Those bushy ironic hipster beards look ugly as all f*ck.
You need to have some stubble. Very short stubble or a short cropped beard. It's manly as ****.
Nice belt nice shoes nice shirt some manly stubble and you're golden.

I usually just walk around a little scruffy but sometimes I'll let it go for a while. Ends up driving me nuts, I can't keep my hands or tongue out of it.

I like to rock a light stubble, sometimes a heavy one. I always keep it nice and clean with the edges looking sharp. Haven't been clean shaven for 2 years now and I wanna keep it that way. A nice stubble definitely makes me look better.

Got a pretty thick beard going right now. I generally let it grow out every now and then. Will probably shave it off in the coming week or two.

NOT a n!gga in Hezbollah, nor any Dominican Barber, can claim a more glorious beard than my own.
Considering i ain't a teenager anymore, it is my ambition to grow one but i have yet to find a way how to start it since facial hair barely grows on me.

I've had one since I was 19ish. Just recently shaved it all off because being locked at home with kids and wife make man do strange things.

I've had a full beard (but not super long) for close to 3 years now.
27 y/o and my beard isn't grown in full yet. Lots of fillers needed. I don't even attempt to grow it unless I need a haircut. My genetics suck for facial hair.
Man, this quarantine got me like no shave November. I bet even those who can't grow a beard go out with jungles on their faces after all these weeks

I used to grow a short beard in high school and little bit of college, but I got sick of the itch after eating certain foods. A little crumb would get left behind then itch until I could clean it off with soap next day. Clean shaven is much less trouble than trying to maintain shape of a beard. Now I just clean shave every 3 days.
