Even when he is completely trash his team simply can't lose. They are easily favorites to win the chip

Sounds like Larry Bird always outscored on his Finals teams 3/5 times

True definition of stacked

Detroit Pistons, 41-41 record in the East with Blake hobbled.

It's a mediocre Detroit squad and it was a blowout win. It wasn't one of his best games, but they didn't need him to dominate in order to win against a team that could have easily missed the Playoffs. Every game's been decided by 16 points or more, why make Giannis shoot the ball 20+ times a game when they don't need him to? Pistons can barely get to the 100 point mark once in 3 games while the Bucks are averaging 120 a night.

Trash? Man do you guys even watch games? Greek influences the game in other ways than just scoring.

And so what he was outscored by a bunch of guys. It happens to Steph curry all the time in the playoffs and no one gets on him for it.

If you are going to be on the Lebron level you have to be held to the highest standards

Every response I could think of to this stupid topic would have come off as me being angry when its really closer to sad about the state of basketball fans.

At this point Giannis is probably the best 2 way player (and best) player in the league.

MJ spoiled fans by being the only player to lead his team in scoring for every series of his career - and he did so by an average margin of 15.4 ppg over his 2nd option..

He also scored 10-20 more than his 2nd option to win every Finals and 3-peated with a 4 ppg power forward, while his 2nd option averaged 17 on 40% in 96-98' playoffs - a true 1-man show on offense, hence the goat defensive attention he received.. only MJ won multiple rings as a 1-man show

People expect Giannis to do this but how could he?.. he can barely shoot

as a sidenote, today's spacing has made everyone's skillset basic - drive-and-kick skillset - look at Giannis and harden's gimmicky style.. very little all-round offensive skill there - just live dribbling... :confusedshrug:

Who cares? It's probably better to get his teammates going heading on to later rounds. Any stats compiled in a first round sweep vs this trash of a team doesn't mean anything.

I'm not going to pretend like he had a great overall game, but his defense was good. He impacts the game in so many ways, he can dominate without touching the ball too much - not if he did it every game of course - but teams know what he's capable of so even with an off night he'll still be priority #1 for the opponent... on BOTH ends of the court

Best player in the league

I'd compare this Bucks team to the 2009 Cavs or the 2015 Hawks. The bucks are really reliant on Giannis and Middleton but Bledsoe , Lopez, and Hill could all be the 3rd option any given night. Brogdon (a very solid starter) could come back in the ECF if they beat the C's.
