This is what’s happening here. They can’t bring themselves to acknowledge that Christians were victimized by Muslims. That’s not the correct narrative. They think, probably somewhat correctly, that a narrative of Muslims victimizing Christians is politically good for the right, not the left.

To be fair, Trump does this too. He knows that the narrative of minorities being victimized by whites is politically good for the Democrats. So he gives the same kind of generic condemnations in those situations that the Dems give in these.

The media of course understands that too, that’s why they’re so eager to jump on any opportunity to claim some minority was attacked by scary racist MAGA bros, even if it’s obviously a hoax, which it usually is.

This is poison politics. The politics of saying “your group is under attack and your only way to be protected is by the X-party getting elected.” This of course is the entire Democrat playbook. Literally every single policy they talk about has to in some way be connected to “this is an attack on _____.”

They NEVER argue anything just on the merit. It’s ALWAYS framed as being a bigoted attack on some identity group. Don’t like illegal immigration? You just hate hispanics. Don’t like abortion? You just don’t want women to be able to control their bodies. Don’t like welfare? You just hate poor people. Especially if they’re minorities.
