Lebron does not have very impressive peak playoff stats. This is what actual ballers look at. The peak production in your prime. How good were you at your best.

Prime in basketball almost always coincides with a 4-5 year period, usually in your late 20s.

Here are some stats to compare.

Lebron's best 5 year stretch is from 27 to 31, where he averages 27/9/7 on 49/32/74 winning 3 rings.

Larry Birds best 5 year stretch is from 27 to 31, where he averages 26/10/7 on 49/37/90 winning 2 rings.

Duncan's best 5 year stretch is from 26 to 30, where he averages 24/13/4 with 3 blocks, winning 3 rings

Shaq's best 5 year stretch is from 26 to 30, where he averages 29/14/3 with 3 blocks, winning 3 rings

Hakeem's best 5 year stretch is from 30 to 34, where he averages 28/11/4 with 3 blocks winning 2 rings

Tell me again why Lebron is even considered better than any of those guys? He is not more dominant or statistically impressive.

Could you clarify "not impressive" peak playoff stats?

Meltdown..

Look up playoffs and advanced metrics because you seem to be confused. LeBron is better than Jordan at nearly every single statistic.

He also scored more points on less shots and has the all-time post season scoring record. Jordan never had a big elimination game in the finals either. It's just not close and I'm sorry.

Could you clarify "not impressive" playoff stats?

For a guy who wears a t-shirt saying "Check My Stats", his stats do not set themselves apart from even guys like Barkley or Malone.

In comparison MJ has a 5 year peak of 34/7/7 on 50/36/82

That's impressive.

This feels like it's 2016 again when LBJ lead all players in all major statistical categories. Only this time he's doing it against Jordan

LeBron shoots a better pecentage from 2
LeBron shoots a better pecentage from 3
He has a higher FG%, eFG%, and TS%
He has a better AST%, TRB%, BPG%, and a lower USG%

MJ scores more points, but also has a higher USG% and a higher FT%

With advanced metrics, both in the regular season and playoffs, it gets even worse for Jordan

LeBron leads MJ in: Win Shares, TS%, TRB%, AST%, BLK%, OWS, DWS, OBPM, DBPM, BPM, VORP

MJ leads in: FT%, and STL%

LeBron also has slightly more turnovers, but a better assist-to-turnover ratio, so boom roasted there too:

It's just not. even. close. And some have been fooled for a long time, but not I.

Can we please stop thinking Jordan is better now? LeBron crushes him in almost every category and if you look at total playoff stats it's a LANDSLIDE victory, with nearly 1000 more points and double the rebounds.
