I've also said this. Defensively with there similar body type and big hands it's obvious. offensively kawhi is more of a poor man's mj with every part accept for threes. Any idiot who thinks mj wouldn't destroy this era should just look at kawhi. He's a top 3 player in the playoffs and arguably the best with respect to kd and Greek. I can only imagine what mj would do in this era.

You can tell he's been studying MJs game a lot

I said the same thing. The ability to dominate offensively without being ball dominant or 3pt reliant is almost unheard of in today’s 's league. Closest game to MJ in the league today

Let's just put it this way. Are you talking about Jordan with Pippen or Jordan without Pippen?
With Pip? Sure, he'd do very well.
Without? 1-9 failure :(

His midrange form and footwork look identical. What he doesn't have is the agility or fluidity going to the rim, more of a blocky driver.

he's not nearly as good a passer along with just being not as dominant. His iso game is similar but he doesnt post up that much like mj did and not as good either.

Kawhi is similar to second 3-peat MJ for sure...but can't hold a candle to MJ 87-93.

Robot MJ is a pretty accurate description of his game, especially 2nd 3-peat MJ
In terms of pure playstyle (operating off-ball, secondary ball handler, and making the midrange his bread and butter) he's the closest to 2nd 3-Peat MJ we've seen since

I mean it is sort of true Mike needed Pippen becos we were abel to see his 1-9 failures before Pippen entered the Bulls roster.

Nearly all players lose their first few seasons like curry, lebron, durant, kyrie
Basically everyone
At least MJ made the playoffs, where most guys miss it
Like, what's better:
A) lebron sitting at home this year missing playoffs
B) lebron as the 8 seed versus the Warriors and looking to make noise like the clippers' record comeback or MJ's record scoring (63)
MJ did option B for 3 years, while lebron missed the playoffs 3 times despite having elite athleticism each time

Kawhi does remind me of mj...when he was 35.
