Derrick Rose never even got to reach his prime due to injury, and he was always the better player than Westbrick of the past three seasons with his hollow meaningless triple doubles.

Looks like you're the moron here. Paul George is their best defensive player and he guarded Dame (as he should) and played great defense on the last shot and still couldn't do anything about it.

You think he would choose a triple-double & losing in the first round over winning? That clearly wasn't the case. Maybe if George doesn't shit the bed in games past, they wouldn't have had to play an elimination game down 1 - 3 on the road to begin with.

Assists/rebounds have never been the issue with Westbrook, it's his poor shooting that is inexcusable. His own ego as a scorer is getting in the way of his team winning, he used to be able to shoot 3s and make FTs and has always had the green light. Nothing's going to change until they get a coach that gets him to stop shooting so many damn jump shots.

Rose and Westbrook are both products of an outdated style of play, that while very entertaining when viewed in the context of highlights (and not thru watching the entire game).

The outdated iso/volume-scorer does well against inferior/inefficient, or smaller competition, but against larger teams with higher efficiency (aka playoff teams), the style of explosive head down slashing by smaller guards, with low IQ/poor decision making, is destined to lose against organized efficiency.
