When GSW fails to 3-peat this playoffs it will indeed yet again be proven that 3-peats are the true mark of the GOAT player.
MJ

Russel
Kobe
Mikan
Only MJ, Russel and George Mikan did it without having a top 10 GOAT teammate.

Maybe because the chick was a prude? Better to be that dude than the one who can't even get a date if he paid.
But based on the premise of this thread Russell is the GOAT hands down. It's not even close.
So be careful when you create agendas OP. It might just slap Jordan in the face

Jordaneers are the shiftiest stans when it come to switching goalposts. It's funny they conditioned this board to elude to Russell being the GOAT everytime they use the championship arguments. They're so focused on Lebron they forgot other players existed

It's a badge of honor son
And it's completely rational to think MJ is the GOAT.. So your comment makes no sense..
Finally, each passing season enhances the goat's legacy, AS ONE WOULD EXPECT:
- Lebron couldn't make the playoffs out West
- the clippers are playing Durant's Warriors much better than lebron did
- when the Warriors fail the 3-peat this year, that enhances MJ's threepeatS
.

Why is Kobe included? Why not include Pippen (who 3-peated twice), or some of Bill Russell's hall of fame teammates?
Kobe wasn't playing like a top 10 player of all time during the Lakers 3-peat so why put him on that pedestal?

It's irrational to think it's a definitive statement. Which makes you and everyone affiliated with you just as delusional.
That's the problem with Jordaneers. They don't know how to define the lines between opinion and definitive. A trait only Jordaneers seem to possess. Which makes them the most delusional fans in sports. Reality and fantasy.

Ironic considering the hate these older Jordan fans have for Lebron.
For the record I've never hated Jordan. It's a perception people automatically assume when you try to be unbiased. Nowhere in that post says I hate Jordan. Because you don't agree doesn't mean you hate that person. But when people like 3ball try to make definitive statements based on agenda based opinions I have to speak up

Did you read my second sentence? Kobe wasn't playing like a top 10 player of all time during the 00-02 Lakers 3 peat. Only Shaq deserves that credit.
If you are SPECIFICALLY referencing a 3-peat...then you should be ONLY focusing on the level of play during that 3-peat. Kobe didn't become a top 10 player of all time until way later in his career (around 2010 or so).

I agree about Kobe. He was not top 10 during the 3peat. I couldn't put him top 10 as that was Shaq's team anyways. Before Tmac injuries, Tmac was the better player, especially his Orlando years. Russell is the GOAT of the premodern era. Jordan is the GOAT of the modern era. Russell could win titles when there were 8 teams in the league and he as a center shot sub 50%. Russell is a greyed out option in my GOAT list. He'll always be there, but I separate the premodern era from the modern era.
GOATS Of PreModern-- 1. Russell 2. Wilt
GOATs of Modern -- 1. Jordan 2. Kareem

Russell 8-peated.
8-peat is the true GOAT accomplishment.
Russell came into the league playing with the league mvp and ROY and only had to win 2 series a year for 8 titles to get a title. From the 1980's forward you needed to win 4 series a year to win a title. Russell for his 11 titles won 25 series. From the 80's forward you needed to win 24 series to win 6 titles.
