View Full Version : How did Vince Carter play better vs 2001 76ERS than KOBE

When you consider that Kobe went against a very injured 76ERS team you have to consider that VC may have been better than Kobe in 2001.

Imagine VC going against Mckie and Snow while they were playing with broken ankles... Which Kobe was fortunately able to do..

Could VC win three titles with PRIME SHAQ ? VC shits on THE SPURS and their old and short roster in the early 2000's

probably because vince didn't have a guy on his team saying "if you don't feed the dog the dog won't guard the house"

basically using an extortion tactic threatening to tank the series if kobe didn't relinquish #1 option duties

shaq also did the same thing in 2003 during kobes 40 point streak ( kobe talks about it with Arod in an interview )

shaq admitted using kobe to carry him to the finals in their 1 on 1 interview

this is why the 2 broke up. shaq was greedy and lazy most of the year

crazy, Vince never had close to a player like Shaq attracting triple teams on every possession

the thing is... kobe was the one sucking in the defense and getting shaq open under the basket on drives

shaq wasn't opening up 3's for kobe... kobe rarely if ever shot threes at the time and would create for himself.

kobe went against two guys playing with broken ankles and Shaq putting 76ERS defensive anchor in foul trouble.. LOL:lol

Snow and Mckie played with broken ankles.. And VC still outplayed Kobe when they played against the same team. ...

VC would have won titles with PRIME SHAQ.. At least 2 possibly 3.. Not sure about the third one because you never know if the REFS show up for the Lakers in WCF 2002:roll:

Wasn't just Vince. Ray Allen played much better vs Sixers, too. He averaged 27.1ppg 5.4apg 3.3rpg .614%ts. Both of them played better as the main guy and not a sidekick getting less attention like Kobe, too.

Even Reggie averaged 31 ppg on 61%TS against Philly too

So that's why Kobe was by far the least efficient of all the star sg's to go up against the Sixers? K. He had a pathetic .501%ts. Ray led all players with a .614, Reggie 2nd with .606, and Vince 3rd with a .567. You'd think the guy who is playing sidekick would be the most efficient and not absolute dog shit in that regard. :lol

That's beside the point that you're just an idiot. Why would the better player relinquish first option duties to an inferior player?

Come on what? It's a fact that out of the four star guards to play the Sixers Kobe played by far the worst. Cover yourself with your ratty blanket in your cardboard box and stfu.

He didn't.

Kobe was the best perimeter defender alive at the time.

He was easily the best two way player in the world in 2001.

Dumb ass Smokey ... must be on that bourbon again.

For somebody who claims to appreciate defense. You would understand that Kobe was actually using energy on that end. For a long while defending Philadelphia

Ray Allen and VC ... especially then, were terrible defenders.

Iverson had his absolute worst series vs the Bucks, but okay. He averaged 30.5ppg on 31.0 shots a game. (.435%ts)
