View Full Version : How similar are Curry and Kobe?
SpaceJam2
04-26-2019, 12:13 PM
Both of them started their careers with 3 beta rings, unable to outperform in the Finals.
Kobe took six trips to the finals to get his first MVP (1/6). Curry is currently on four trips (0/4) without a single MVP.
They both choked the big time game 7 Finals with 6/24 shooting (Kobe) and 6/19 shooting (Curry).
Kobe has 1 regular-season MVP, Curry has 2. Kobe has two scoring titles, and Curry has 1...
 :wtf:
Also: They both blew a 3-1 lead.

Besides the fact that both struggle with the more gritty physical East Coast style ball? Nothing.
two players who got routinely carried to rings.
when curry wins a finals MVP then he can brag about being better than a kyrie level player.

Even with all the similar comparisons mentioned? Their careers are insanely and nearly identical. I challenge you to find two other players more similar.

Pretty much
Curry currently is 0/4
kobe has the edge because at least kobe had a case for being the best when he won with gasol.
curry needs a finals MVP if he wins this year because kd getting three in a row over him is a bad look...

Mamba > Curry.
They both got NBA player fathers.
And they both have very excellent discipline. I think both forced themselves to take a certain amount of shots before leaving the gym.
Kobe comes off as more educated than Curry even though Curry had a Montessori education.

Curry is better than your entire organization. He's done more in 1 year than your garbage organization has managed to achieve since its inception. You and the losers that comprise of your team are the last to speak on any of this.
LeBron stans can talk that talk because he at least achieved something. So it means something. But from a Raptors fan.. :lol

They both lack a ball sack capable of fathering boys. They lack the testosterone. In Kobe's defense he didn't cuck out and hire someone else to impregnate his wife like Curry did in 2017.

Curry is the better player.
Curry truly is a generational type player but people won't give him his due credit.
LeBron and Curry are the Shaq and MJ of this era. The truly special players. Duncan and Kobe were great, but they just aren't the caliber of player of the ones mentioned. They may have won more than Shaq, and may go down with more championships than Curry and Bron, but you can tell watching the game who the better players are.
Giannis looks to be in the next mix. Maybe Zion is next?

If only LeBron was able to shoot 45% in the 2015 Finals he could have beat the Warriors with no Adam silver. (He shot 39% in the series yikes)

I've made this thread countless times, OP you are still missing more info.
Curry and Kobe's regular season stats are almost EXACTLY identical through their first 10 seasons.
Honestly, Curry and Kobe are both top 15 talents.
Kobe was just "cooler" to black people frankly than Curry since Curry is light skinned and a shooter, so Kobe was overhyped from the beginning.
Pretty racist honestly.

What is Curry better at than Kobe outside shooting on defensive side of the ball Curry is a burden while Kobe was a great defender for many years all his 1st team NBA selections say this. Please stop trolling nobody thinks or believes Curry is on same level as Kobe outside trolls and idiots.

I’m legitimately not trolling. Curry’s offensive impact is absurd. I don’t think people realize how great he is. And I can’t stand Curry. That said, if you took away the 3PT line Curry wouldn’t be anywhere close to Kobe, so I get why you might find him gimmicky (I do too).

Nah his offensive game is amazing but his impact isn’t there in the big moments his lack of size and athleticism hurts him. Curry is great #2 option but isn’t true #1 option on a championship contending team. This is his 5th NBA Finals and I’ve yet to see him be best player in any series. I would easily take these players over Curry in last 15 years KG, Duncan, Dirk, Wade, Lebron, Kobe, Durant and Kawhi.
