It's hard to explain without spoiling.. I will hint at some very mild spoilers in white without giving much of the story away.

Yes in a way. It becomes less and less about good and evil as the story continues. Survival is still the major theme but probably not in a way you expect.

The story becomes much better as it progresses IMO.. unlike GoT where book 1-3 far eclipses books 4-5 (first 4 seasons > last 4 seasons as well for example). In my eyes, the best arcs are the one starting now and the next two afterwards. As long as he doesn't **** up the ending now that we're in the endgame. :confusedshrug:

I can see a lot of people liking the other arc a bit more to be honest. To me, this one is slightly better because the climax is more impactful. Both are goat-tier for different reasons. :bowdown:

Completely deserved. One of the best episodes ever in anything, but I expected it reading the manga. The second half of the season is going to be very interesting in terms of people will take. A shift is coming.

Season one had me engaged but wasnt an all time great for me. 3 years later, season 2 came out and AoT became one of my favorite shows, with season 2 being one of my favorite seasons of any show. Season 3 surpassed that

It's a legitimate masterpiece in fiction. Just wait until next season. :bowdown: But unlike other series, it's clear the writer knows how to end this series and doesn't f*ck around. Hasn't missed a single release in the manga in the 9-10 years since it's started as well. :bowdown:

Also the anime studio that has been making all these seasons is officially done with the series after this season due to them taking so many different jobs. Whoever the hell replaces them better do an amazing job for the last two arcs, they have a lot to live up.

There are two more arcs left after this season.

In the manga, I think it's around 50-80% done of the last arc of the series. It's hard to tell what's about to happen right now or exactly how far the final arc is.

Trust me, it's not that bullshit. And the funny thing is that the last arc has been lasting during season 7 & 8 of GOT, and I have compared the two many times. A writer that knows how to finish his story in Isayama (unless he completely fluffs it right at the finish line) and George on the other hand who likes to jump on as many different projects as possible because he's scared he doesn't know how to finish his story. And unlike George, there's no fat like books 4 & 5. For example, there are many people that read that series that think the next arc is better the one you're watching now. And the final arc basically has crazy shit happening on a monthly basis.


If you can't tell, I'm still bitter as hell about the series going the way that it did. :facepalm

It really depends how it ends (there's 3 chapters left). I think the last arc and this Marley arc are some of the best storytelling I've ever seen. The last arc has been really strong (took some time to really kick off), but a lot of what has happened for that arc will be determined by it's going to finish.

Good news is that the Double Ds from Game of Thrones aren't going to finish it, it can't get ****ed in that way.
