I don't see Broussard's statements here as analysis, moreso commentary and getting clicks( and to be clear, I don't disagree with his core point if a bit over the top). Analysts, in my book, are guys like Tim Legler or Jalen Rose. Guys like Skip, Shannon, Stephen A. are 'personalities' along the lines of Jerry the King Lawyer and Jesse Ventura.

And there will NEVER be players that can dominate in system like duncan or MJ because kids don't stay in school, so they never get the fundamentals required

That's why MJ had the skillset to be the goat scorer despite playing in the strictest offense of all-time - he played 100% team system ball under Dean Smith at UNC... Players can't get this level of instruction in today's game because of 1-and-done

I agree but it doesn't solve everything. The problem's deeper then that. Players will still flop. They'll just be less exaggerated. That'll in turn make the refs job harder. The root problem is not flopping. It's not even the officiating. It's the rules themselves.

They are way to open to interpretation. But making them more objective is easier said than done. How hard of a push is too hard? How do you define that? How can a ref really know? Should the players be wearing sensors?

I would add maybe making handcheck legal and reffing the regular season as the playoffs, allowing more contact and make the players adapt to it.
