Only five players have averaged at least 40 points, 5 assists, on 50% or better shooting over a five game playoffs span = Durant, Michael, and LeBron. Behold, the big three of the playoffs in all their glory:

Lebron and Durant never averaged 40 for a playoff series

Since 1984, only MJ averaged 40 in a series and he did it 6 times

And he did so against all levels (1st Round, Finals, and against goat teams, #1 defenses and top 3 defenses)

And he did so against the top tier competition in 2015 and 2016 Finals

That's fine - MJ's series are better and he has more OF them

And Lebron's westbrooking is a proven loser, while MJ/Durant/Lillard's goat scoring is valued more and WINS more

But hey - lebron gets a cookie for westbrooking.. happy now?

He had an equal scoring partner that closed

MJ is the only guy to win multiple rings as a 1-man show (10-20 more than 2nd option), and he did it 6 times

No comparison.. :facepalm

Remember, the Clippers once had the worst team in NBA history, but they still won 10 games that year - so lebron was bound to win a Finals or 2 if he made enough of them, but he still has a lottery record in the Finals...

His skill restriction to ball domination simply doesn't yield great teams.. indeed, having one guy dominate the ball with a bunch of spot-up shooters isn't a high brand of ball that can win consistently at the championship level

The playoff cut was 45 games in 1989 - it ebbs and flows every year - you know that

Lebron simply failed to make his team the 8th best team 3 times

MJ only did that twice and it was after he was no longer an elite athlete...

Whereas Lebron couldn't generate the 8th best team 3 times despite having elite athleticism.. that speaks to a lack of SKILL compared to MJ

Lebron played in a much easier conference - widely regarded as the easiest ever - while MJ's conference was widely regarded as the toughest ever

If you ignore these facts, then you'll be surprised by results rather than expecting them

Why didnt Jeff make the Finals in his prime? :(

Finals Vs Finals
He led the Suns to 55 wins in 1992 as their leading scorer after helping demolish Magic's 1 seeded all-star team in 1990 to make the WCF

The Suns that beat Magic were stacked to the brim, but lost to an even MORE stacked Blazers team the 90' WCF (drexler was 3rd option and averaged 18 ppg to make the Finals that year)

But those Blazers were demolished in 5 games by an even MORE stacked Pistons team in the Finals (all 5 starters were either 3x all-stars or all-nba)... Only MJ's bulls took those pistons 7 games with just one 1st-time all-star (pip), and would've beaten them if not for pip's migraine in game 7 (2 pts, 1-10)

Like I said, MJ always did the most with the least and 1990 was a prime example (1989 was an even better example)

It's interesting you bring that up because every player needs an all-star to win rings

And MJ had the best record with an all-star ever

He was 6-2 with an all-star, while every other player since the ABA merger has a worse record with an all-star (i.e. lebron lost with all-stars in 05', 09', 11, 14', 17')
