View Full Version : Playoff Iguodala
Dude just hibernates during the regular season. People always mention CP3 getting injured last season but Iggy got injured too.

I've had this discussion with people before.
CP3's impact is way more important that Andre Iguodola's
CP3 is either #1 or #2 most important for Houston. Iggy is...#5, or #6?

I've noticed that as of late Simon/Wheels/Dray n Clay, etc, keeps referencing "talking with people." I just don't know if he means in real life or if he just means other strangers on different sites. It can't be in real life.

Warriors had a 2-1 last year before Iggy went down, then Houston proceeded to win the next 2 games by 3 and 4 points, with a healthy Iggy in playoff form the Warriors probably win at least one of those games

Iggys 4th or 5th LMAO @ 6th
only KD, Draymond and Steph are clearly more impactful in the playoffs. Klay goes MIA alot but nikkas only remember his hot shooting nights. Iggys more consistent in the playoffs and brings it almost every game on both ends

Um. Definitely NOT 4th..
Curry, Klay, Dray, KD

At BEST he is 5th.

Since theyve been on the same team since 2015-2019 and dont handle the ball all the time we can look at the advanced stats in similar roles. Normally these stats are used incorrectly comparing players in different roles/teams/eras but we can see it clearly here
from 2015-2019
PER
Iggy: 14.3
Klay: 14.6
TS
Iggy: 56.3
Klay: 56.3
every other advanced stats from WS, WS/48, BPM etc favors Iggy
On court: Iggy +8.6
On court: Klay +7.9
even boxscore numbers Iggy beats him in rebounding, passing, FG%, turnovers etc. Iggys far better defensively too. He handles the ball and sets the pace, gets them out in transition and plays better perimeter defense
Only advantage Klay has is in scoring, 3PT and FT shooting and hes inconsistent at that too. Outside of getting his own shot and running around screens and hitting spoonfed open jumpers he doesnt do anything better than Iggy in the playoffs

I get what you're trying to do but are you telling me if you had to get rid of one you would keep Iggy over Klay? If one player had to removed from the team right now you would choose to get rid of Klay over Iggy???

this thread is about the playoffs no?
Klay is obviously better in a vaccuum since he can play big minutes in the regular season and is much more durable. They rest Iggy in the RS for this reason
If its just playoffs you could easily make a case for Iggy over him (or at worst equal value) from 2015-2019

Jesus, I can't see anyone taking Iggy over Klay but to each their own

Klay for regular season and regular season + playoffs combined
Iggy for playoffs exclusively
they play similar roles behind their true top players and Iggy grades out better or at least equal in all of them and plays better defense
hes also the one that showed up on the biggest stage outplaying 2 MVPs and winning FMVP while locking up the other teams best player and has multiple series locking down superstars (Har_en consistently torched Klay but it was Iggy or Barnes that defended him best):confusedshrug:
