See that, Disney? See that, American film makers? No spectacular gymnastics. No twirling and leaping and flying. Just some simple camera work, a dramatic setting, and a few sword clashes and dramatic dialogue to propel the story forward. And yet this beats the hell out of all that new Star Wars shit.

Better than anything Hollywood has put out in years.

This scene is a Masterpiece ! The way they express everything, without saying anything is brilliant !

Dude, this is better than like 90% of the stuff out there today. Back then, people used to understand cinema - that it was an art. Actors for some reason had more class back then, and writers more vision. You don't need big budgets or expensive set pieces or CGI to make a great film, and this is just another example of that. Hollywood today has gotten so obsessed with visuals they've neglected or let rust the core aspects of movie-making that serve to make such an enthralling and meaningful experience. Shame.

"Greatest sword fight of all time, huh? idk about that . . ."
* nine minutes later *
"I was wrong."

this scene alone was better than most movies ive seen the past ten years. that makes me sad :(

Sheep going on and on about MCU this, Star Wars that, DC this....when it's all just an absolute shit compared what was shot over 50 years ago.

Bring back shit like this that is actually worth watching.

Anyone who says "but MCU made the most $$$ therefore it's better just doesn't get it. Doesn't get life......and that is just sad.

Why is this the greatest sword fight scene? They seemed like good actors who captured the mood well but the scenery and the sword fight itself doesn't seem that special or realistic

Sci-fi/Superhero movies and this are markedly different genres, and are made to appease fans of those genres.

This fight looks particularly sloppy. There are several instances where a trained swordsman would have killed both of those individuals with a parry and quick strike. The acting was pretty wooden and overly dramatic at points as well, in my opinion... but that's what the director was going for and that's how many of these movies were filmed in the 60s, 70s, 80s and even 90s and 00s. To each his own. :confusedshrug:

Is the whole movie worth watching? If so I don’t want to watch the climax and spoil it.

This movie wasn't made by jews which Hollywood is pretty much entirely. No originality, no actual themes, just black and white good vs evil, mass corporatism, smut and exploiting brand names and replaying the same thing with overused CGI to bring the sheep in.

There are still good foreign movies and entertainment out there, especially in Japan.

You think that's the best sword fight? All those stupid pointless jumps and the countless cuts...this is crap. Only someone that knows nothing about how swords actually work and is high as fukk could think this is the best sword fight in a film

You mean you can't step on your sword while in the air and use it as a springboard to ascend even higher? :lol

Yep, that sword fight was shit because it's not realistic.

A real sword fight would end under a minute.
