Dudes are pretenders at this point, still too raw and not experienced enough.

Embiid is too immature and Giannis is a professional bricklayer outside of 5 feet. Still have too many weakness in their games.

What about Simmons?

What about Simmons?

Simmons isn't good enough to be a "pretender". I honestly don't care enough about him at all to ever talk about.

But he is an All Star isn't he? Is he a star or pretending to be one?

Are you talking about yourself? You have enough ALTs running around this board that you should be used to talking to yourself by now.

Thing about Giannis though is can you STOP him from getting within 5 feet? Shaq was a bricklayer outside of 5 feet too...kinda didnt matter though you know what I mean?

Also when he (Giannis) gets to load up the musket from 24 ft he's servicable, he's not like Simmons for example.

Embiid is still a pretender :lol

Dude is either choking, underperforming, and getting injured come playoff time. Every damn time.

OP doesn't know what MVP represents.

I thought OP had made this thread last night. Giannis proved him wrong, but he's right on Embiid.

He's wrong about(as it applies to 2024) both but he's more right about Giannis than he is Embiid. A lack of skill is not holding Embiid back. While it is holding Giannis back somewhat, he has enough to make it work.

Its a joke bruh. Its funny that OP would call someone who is a proven champion a 'pretender'

EDIT: just saw this thread made in 2019 :facepalm

He did specify “up to this point” in the op. Giannis was a pretender back then and Embiid averages 24 ppg on 46% in the playoffs. Embiid is the harden of centers, big and skilled for their respective positions and can’t play without the ticky tack calls of the regular season.

Giannis was never a pretender. You don't have one of the best, if not the best finals ever while ever being a pretender.
