Can a lebron or durant stan show me where they hit a floating, hangtime shot like that, and it doesn't have to be a game-winner

They've never even TAKEN a shot like that - not enough hangtime, skill, or testicular fortitude

And look how much MJ wants the ball - show me where today's player WANTS it in the clutch like that.. only Kobe scratches the surface

Again - show me where lebron attempts a shot like that - a floating, hangtime, super-contested mid-range jumper

And look how much MJ wants the ball - show me where today's player WANTS it in the clutch like that.. only Kobe scratches the surface

You're conceding.. fair enough.. And that's why I asked - because there are no such shots for him

Can you even IMAGINE his robotic skillset take a shot like that - not possible - vastly inferior skill

That shot is an example of the kind of contested shot required when there's no spacing and defenders are nearby at all times... Otoh, today's spaced out defenders don't have a chance most of the time, so shots like that aren't necessary

Lebron...

I'll do you one better. Instead of reducing greatness into a single shot how about an entire finals series while leading everyone in everything?

That's impossible, that's never been done before right? How could anyone lead everyone in everything in the most clutch pressure series?

Wait nobody's ever done that before right? I looked up Jordan's Finals and I didn't see him do it.

Ultimate cringe

That actually was some real good defense by Ehlo. Yea he's white, is someone going to make a comment he wasn't good enough to play in the league because of that??

Anyways, his hand is right up in MJs grill the whole time, hence the hangtime needed. Either way, this shot is in NBA lore. One of the many Chicago over Cleveland memories there are. The Shot!

That is literally the arguement Bran stans use when talking about anyone who guarded MJ that wasn't black. And if they were black they take 3-4 inches off the persons height (i.e. calling Payton 6'1).

Bran stans are truly fking pathetic

The fact MJ had to delay the shot a fraction in mid-air because of Ehlo's excellent defense makes it even more legendary.

But no, he was white and so must have been a grocery bagger :facepalm

2nd option Kyrie outplayed #1 option Curry in the 2016 Finals... After that matchup, it was lebron/love vs. klay/dray - no contest obviously

Otoh, MJ had no all-stars when he faced 3 perennial all-stars in Price/Nance/Daughtery plus 20/5/5 Ron Harper

So I believe the huge talent mismatch, the way this series was won (40/6/8 and "the shot"), and the destiny-changing impact it had on the Bulls made MJ goat more than lebron's 16' Finals

If MJ misses that shot, the bulls are 1st round losers and probably break up the team - but instead they became ECF veterans and knocking in the door of starting a 3-peat just a year later... It's arguably the most important, history-changing shot in history, which is why it's simply called "the shot"

Kevin Durant would just shoot over Ehlo. Who needs hangtime with that wingspan.

Depending on how physical you play, ya, I'll give you that, but generally speaking? Durant's like the Kareem of perimeter players. Far as blocking one of his shots go.

Whether he'd make that game-winner? As an underdog in the playoffs AND at the buzzer? Another story.

Yeah, no way he works that hard to get the ball, or has the necessary quickness or physicality

Or hits the would-be (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dk0aErTKtqI&t=01m07s) game winner on the previous possession - then Ehlo gets the last second layup that forced MJ to hit the actual winner
