In your opinion.

I don’t know, to me he plays like a right handed even longer Lamar Odom with more athleticism and less basketball skills i.e. shooting and passing

Even though he travels his ass off so much, and gets away with it ... he has a pretty good handle and a great spin move off the trouble

No shit.

But you asked who does he play most like. That’s what came to my brain.

Two super long, kind of awkward, nearly 7 footers with nearly guard like handle, who can attack off the dribble.

Only difference as I said, one is a little longer, more athletic, and aggressive. The other one was a better actual basketball player. Had a better jumpshot. And a much superior passer.

Which is what I said, a more athletic, I just left off the word aggressive. I said he doesn’t have a jumpshot, therefore it implies he gets all his points at the rim ... thus aggressive.

Why would you ask us, we give an answer and then you argue LOL why don’t you give a suggestion. I know you just started watching in 2010 but please do enlighten us ...

In fact he also reminds me of once again, a more athletic, and I’ll throw in the word aggressive just so you don’t get your underwear in a twist, right handed version of a young in his athletic prime Nets Derrick Coleman.

I’m not sure personally that’s why I asked. He’s fairly unique but he has similarities with many.

I wanted to get input.

I wasn’t disagreeing with you either so much as just pointing out something.

The long swooping glides to the rim = Connie Hawkins. But Giannis has more power. A stronger Connie Hawkins.

Numbers wise and positional versatility wise, he's taking what KG did to the next level for a 7 foot player. Peak KG was getting 23-24 PPG, 5-6 dimes, and 13-14 rebounds. From there, KG played and defended SF, PF, and C. And functioned at times in a point forward capacity. And of course KG was a freak athlete. But Giannis is a more dominant scorer, more athletic, and has even a bit more positional versatility. Which is SAYING ALOT when u consider KG was the 1st positionless type of 7 foot player two way wise.

But in terms of overall style of play, he's damn near like a 7'0 version of Grant Hill or Bron type of player. His athletic ability, motor, and handles is more similar to guys like that. Plus he LEGIT is a great scorer, rebounder, passer, and defender for a PF-SF. Just like those guys at the SF. And he functions often as a point forward player like those guys as well. So I see some KG, some G Hill, and some Bron in Greek Freak!

Oh hell no

Time of Possession per game

Lebron. 18' Playoffs - 9.6 minutes (https://stats.nba.com/players/touches/?sort=TIME_OF_POSS&dir=1&Season=2017-18&SeasonType=Playoffs)
Giannis 19' Playoffs - 4.1minutes (https://stats.nba.com/players/touches/?sort=TIME_OF_POSS&dir=1&Season=2018-19&SeasonType=Playoffs)

Giannis is way more efficient with the ball and doesn't have a PG time of possession - he also doesn't bring the ball up as much as Lebron

Unlike Giannis, Lebron has abnormally-high time of possession for a forward - so his teammates have less time with the ball than they would alongside a normal forward on other teams... Giannis' teammates aren't starved of the ball like this because his time of possession is remarkably normal for a forward, like Durant or Kawhi

I'm looking at Giannis' numbers for the first time - I'm now convinced not IF he'll win a ring, but WHEN.. .. and how many

Giannis is clearly unique - one if a kind

I think he's carved his own mold. I don't think he plays like anyone we've seen in the past.

Marv Albert last night compared him to Connie Hawkins in his ABA days, but don't know if you can trust his opinion considering he seems to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

This.

I can't think of a comp that is remotely close.

He plays most like a running back. Perfect comparison with all the traveling he does.
