Who's gonna be the leader? I feel like Tatum will be happy, let's see if him and Hayward can mesh. I'm not sold on Jaylen Brown.

Brown was the best player in the playoffs last year for the Celtics

Hell, I'd even say this year. Not looking at the numbers, I'd say Jaylen was our most consistent. Good defensively, attacked the rim on offense. The only guy that looked fully invested out there.

they have to look internally , but will still need 1-2 all-stars...

Their 5 isn't getting any younger as well.

Kyrie Irving's skills as a playmaker shows that he's not an elite point guard. irving's not even on Jason Kidd's level as a player. Jason Kidd would take this same Celtics team to the final just off his passing alone. prime jason Kidd would have a player like Gordan hayward look like an allstar again.

Without Kyrie

They're not beating Giannis.

They certainly are capable of it

I saw some chemistry building between Hayward and Tatum late in the season. Really hope Kyrie leaves.

They need to get tougher. That's for sure. Kyrie isn't tough. Tatum isn't tough and has shown almost no signs of becoming tough. Hayward used to be a hard nosed player and maybe he could recapture some of it. But if Kyrie and Tatum were tougher players (Hayward too), the Celtics would have likely won this series. Sadly, those are their three most talented offensive players. Bad formula for success. I don't think re-signing Rozier and letting Kyrie walk is the answer really. The answer is Tatum getting tough (somehow) and Hayward regaining some toughness (which might happen).

Skill wise, looking Kyrie will be a huge blow though. Tatum will have to step forward in a very unexpected way to make this team anywhere close to the level it was this year (when everything was clicking which was rare).

Make a bet on it. As soon as you possibly can.

They got 4-1'd with the Bucks' second most valuable player playing one game..

They will be lucky to get out of the first round the way the east is now. Good luck being minus a superstar.

I guess it will take time for the harsh reality to sink in that Tatum is just a spot up shooter and Brown's regression had nothing to do with Kyrie.
