View Full Version : Can't help but think Danny Ainge's mistreatment of IT led to Kyrie jolting

In the end Boston gets nothing for Kyrie. In fairness, that's probably still better than having three years of a maxed and injured IT.

Or is it? Tatum and Brown's development have been significantly stunted by Kyrie's tenure this season. At least with an injured IT, they would've progressed.

the trade was ultimately a lose-lose for both teams.

I'm still waiting for a non-stupid reason for how IT was mistreated in all of this.

IT should have called for an ambulance instead of a Brinks truck. All on him

Crazy how his career took a 180 almost instantly.

Went from a 5'8 30ppg scorer to a nobody.

Did he play with somebody specific right after the Celtics that may have contributed to his insecurities and mental collapse?

No, he got a hip injury. Hip injuries are notoriously bad for PG's.

The great thing about this place is that you never have to wait long for someone to post something that is just the right amount of stupid that it's funny.

Danny was never going to max him out to begin with which makes all this nonsense about how he was mistreated by the Celtics bullshit. His getting hurt means nothing when the Celtics were never going to give him that big contract he wanted.

He got backdoor traded to shithole Cleveland after Boston was done using him all up. Dude played his heart out for them and they backstabbed him.

All free agents should beware of Ainge and Boston. They're not looking out for the players there.

Again, healthy or not, he was never getting the contract he wanted. Danny Ainge isn't stupid. You aren't winning anything with Isaiah Thomas on a max contract.

I think you missed the part where I asked that the rationale not be stupid.

Never said he was stupid. However, the way he did IT wrong has made free agents well aware that Boston isn't the place to go for their best interest.

Seriously it would have been dumb to give him a big contract after an injury like that. The wizards did that with Arenas... Didn't work out well.
