View Full Version : The Warriors were smiling at the opportunity that KD's injury presented them....

Curry on KD's injury: "We all looked at each other. There were a couple smiles in terms of what that meant for us as a team -- the guys that were going to need to step up in those moments."

Amazing (and kind of shocking) way for the Warriors to respond as a team to this KD injury. They know that they don't need KD to win. Hopefully they revert back to the Warriors of old where they were blowing out teams by 30pts at halftime because that was some of the most fun basketball to watch of this decade. Overall amazing attitude from their leader, Wardell

With KD being injured, does it make the Warriors more dangerous? Previously they looked kind of tired and jaded. Now though they have a challenge and something to prove. We'll have to see how this unfolds.

Sounds a bit dark. No? I hope Rox push it to game 7 so we can get an exciting, high pressure game 7. In it, Curry has a huge clutch performance where he goes absolutely off, ending the game on a dagger 3 from 35' out. Then, right when he is mid shimmy an iron/nickle rock originating from deep in the Kuiper belt wipes out the entire Bay Area.

That's exactly it. They looked bored, unmotivated, going through the motions on auto-pilot. It literally looked like they stopped caring to the same extent that they used to..because they probably did.

Now this presents a new challenge. This is motivation for the Warriors that the rest of the league didn't need. It will be interesting to see how they fare without KD. Awesome new storyline.

It absolutely is. I get giddy just thinking about the possibilities.

One of those possibilities is losing in to 7 to hou. Another is losing to den or por next round. How is that exciting for gs or Steph fans :oldlol:? As much as I agree with steph fans about his impact, losing kd will increase the likelihood of those possibilities.

Then they lose on a really stretched roster with a thin bench. A loss to the Rockets in 7 games isn't embarrassing. Unlike some here I have respect for Harden and CP3 as Hall of Fame level players.

But I prefer to look at it in the way Game of Zones D'Antoni is portrayed. Consider the upside....

Watch KD's gonna stay in Golden State if Curry wins the championship or even a play-off series without his help.

Warriors bout' to get beat y'all..

The pre-durant Warriors lost in 16' and would've lost in 15' if the Cavs were healthy

they were just a regular season team and not championship-caliber

not surprising someone who doesnt watch games thinks the 16 team and the team without durant now are the same. not surprising someone who talks about mj and lebron all day doesnt realize the value of role players. that warriors team went 8-10 deep, i'm not exaggerating when I say this team doesnt even go 6 deep right now.

How many Finals did the 92 Blazers make?

The 93 Suns?
The 96 Sonics?
The 97 Jazz?

Kindly awaiting your reply :D

you only are looking at points, i'm looking at useful minutes. with kd out, the only guy on the bench who's played over 10min(and been shit i might add) is livingston.

Also why the hell do you feel the need to bring up the Bulls in this specific thread.

Not true - warriors have 3 bench players at 10+ minutes - Livingston, Looney, Bogut

The 93 Bulls were the same - 3 bench players over 10+ minutes

Because the Warriors are trying to 3-peat just like the 93' Bulls did - and the Bulls were much thinner:

93' Playoffs:

https://i.makeagif.com/media/5-09-2019/HrOKJl.gif

And yes - that's the goat having to score 15 more than his 2nd option and lead the team in assists to win the ring - literally carried the bulls to that 3rd ring

no one was comparing the warriors to the Bulls in this thread however. Also I was talking about this series obviously lol. Looney is also not a bench player anymore with KD out if you didnt realize.
