This was their perfect opportunity to advance and they ****ing blew it.

It's really hard being a Rockets fan. So frustrating and the season always ends on a depressing note. Every year I'm optimistic and say "there's always a next year" but now I'm officially done. Obviously I'm always gonna be a Rockets fan till death but I can't trust this squad anymore. We're not winning a championship with these guys

We are facing the same faith sunday in Toronto vs Philly. It should be a fun game 7. But it's also do or die for us. Same for the sixers as well. They may need to seperate the Embiid/Simmons duo. A lot is at stake.

Rockets needed Harden to have a huge night and he didn't. CP3 also not as good as he once was. The others for the Rockets also didn't really show up. Meanwhile, Warriors hit huge shots when it mattered most and had key defensive stops. Warriors are champions with or without KD. Really hard team to beat.

Only way to beat the Warriors is to have pretty much an unstoppable offense and/or a good offense and unbreakable defense. Examples would be like 01 Lakers with Kobe/Shaq or 90's Bulls with Jordan/Pippen. Those teams had unstoppable offenses with Shaq and Kobe and the Bulls with just Jordan the greatest player to ever play the game.

08 Celtics and possibly even the 04 Pistons defenses would be enough to stop the Warriors imo.

It isn't all about the Rockets. People still, for some reason, continue to under-rate how good this Warriors team actually is.

Hopefully the whole..."KD carries this team and they can't do anything without him" narrative will die after what we just saw.

Of course they are way better with KD...that is just obvious.

But, even without him...they are capable of being a championship level team.

But, on the other hand, Harden and Paul fail to come through yet again. Too much will be made of this game though...the series might have actually been lost in game 5 when Paul no-showed and Harden didn't do anything late.

Yea, but again, that is a championship level team you are playing.

And, while the Rockets are great...they also rely on on some players I would come close to calling just "bad" if we are grading them on playoff reliability in tough games.

Still should have won and this was a really bad loss, but when you really only have 6 guys you are comfortable playing real minutes...you have a real weakness.

I love Morey, but he needs to answer for that.

This man, at least yall get to the playoffs. Imagine growing up with your team being a championship team...trading their center piece away, going back to being mediocre only for Kobe to will the team to 2 back to back championships.....and then going through the heart break that has been the last 7 years.

Then, you sign the best player in the NBA thinking that the dark ages are over...only for the most humiliating season yet to occur. And here we are now, our President stepped down, our GM isn't really in charge at all, and the owner of the team is letting Kurt Rambis and his ****ing wife make decisions obviously benefiting themselves.

There were three ingredients here:

Harden
CP3
the D'Antoni system

All these three have a looooooooong history of being successful in the regular season but not winning when it matters most in the playoffs. So it's not a surprise they failed again.

More surprising is this: Intelligent fans actually believed these three personalities would win multiple rings together. As a fan of the Rockets you have an excuse... many others have none.

People are focusing on the wrong things with this Rockets team.

For starters, they were absolutely great last year, but of course not perfect. So I don't mean to criticize too much because they were a championship level team last year for sure imo.

However, while Morey built a great team overall...the lack of real depth is a huge factor.

I'm not saying it was an easy fix, but they just don't really have more than 6 guys you feel good about playing in a playoff game. And that really hurts.
