Nobody said they weren't contenders. Because before he got there they've been in conference final. (Even if they never faced one single healthy squad).

Clearly after 2016 Ty lue and Bron found a weakness. Which is the same weakness Houston tried to exploit and failed. Make Curry spend energy on the defensive end and attempt as many threes if not more than them.

The Rockets aren't pure trash. The most likely outcome is that the Rockets turn out to be the toughest team to beat for the second year in a row for the Warriors. The Warriors celebrated the 2018 WCF like they won the championship for example, because they knew the Cavs weren't half the team the Rockets were a series later as they proved it.

JJ Barea plays some decent defense, and obviously so does Durant. The Draymond Green Iggy defense is out, because this way their bench is best kept up against the style of the Simmons/Embiid sixers
