No, he didn't have a meltdown.

Why do people on the left, right, in the middle... whatever... why do people ALWAYS say things that aren't true? Why are people always trying to create narratives that literally do not exist? It doesn't make your stance seem more rational or logical... it does the opposite, in fact.

The interviewer was a bad actor. Why would someone continue to entertain a bad actor who is clearly agenda driven? Lol... the interviewer was trolling Ben the entire time trying to get a response, and he got one... he tried to come off as objective when in reality the brief interaction they had would suggest the interviewer was a huge leftist. He was irrational and couldn't answer any of Ben's counter questions because he knew he was trolling.

This thread is a joke and you have a low IQ.

In before "meltdown."

That’s Andrew Neil. He’s a right-winger. What you’re seeing him do is the traditional British style of adversarial questioning.

If you’re not used to this style, it might look overly hostile, but this is the style he uses with everyone he interviews, regardless of what side they’re on politically. He questions the person being interviewed as if he is on the opposing side of the person he is questioning. He questions pro-abortion people in the same kind of hostile manner that he questioned Ben.

 Lifelong conservative Brit.

Why would you ask the interviewer questions? You're there to be interviewed. :biggums:

As I said, his interaction would suggest he was a leftist.

So he's a right winger... but was acting as if he was a leftist to play a role... that's great...

Nothing to see here, just a trolling "journalist"...

The entire interview was a "gotcha" attempt... it wasn't serious journalism. lol... pathetic.

Agree to disagree. If someone has a hardline stance on an issue like abortion either way, it makes sense for an interviewer to question them on it.

It also makes sense for the interviewee to be prepared to answer tough questions rationally.

Just because American media is just here to fuel spectacle for ratings doesn't mean the rest of the world is just as stupid.

Facts don't care about your feelings.

This is how you defuse an interviewer while looking smart and confident at the same time.

Right, I haven't... he's clearly a troll. I don't know if that's indicative of the rest of his career, but in that interview he was.

That's not journalism.

That's called being Dave Acosta or Jim Gray... sure, you carry the title... but at the end of the day, you're not doing any reporting, you're not actually trying to interview anyone, you're trying to get emotional responses because you carry no level of integrity and you'd be worthless otherwise.

and that's msm. unless you're dealing with a solid jounalist like robert costa, bob woodward, etc... you're gonna get hit with mainstream gotcha questions. sanders with socialism, trump with racism, warren with pocahantes and so on. ben should have seen it coming, or at the least not have gotten upset about it. it's msm.

When Neil was in favor of going to war in Iraq.
