Just admit it. It was a bad looking shot but he got the luckiest bounce. His shot was not on target. 🎯 How could you call that a good shot? You ever seen Happy Gilmore? Remember that lucky shot at the end?
I mean it wasn

He had 2013 flashback and missed the crucial free throw, than got bailed out with a ridiculously lucky three pointer.
It is what it is.

30 years ago its a bad shot. today its a shot people make every game... only difference is what was on the line and he shot it short. personally i think when the ball bounces around like that it means its a shooters touch. so in a way you do practice the proper form/arc/release in order to give yourself the best opportunity

BIG shot but you cant call it super clutch cuz if he makes that free throw than he doesnt need to hit that shot..
A bit of luck and im sure a very big amount of skill.. Did you see how he let that go ? That came out of his hands straight up into the sky and it came falling down..
I am happy he is going to play vs Giannis cuz these conference finals are going to be GREAT BASKETBALL..
GIANNIS VS KAWHI

Same as Lillard's shot. Weird shot selections but they made them. So, we can call clutch.

I bet OP doesn't even know who hit the game winning shot. :lol

Kawhi's not afraid of the moment and he was prepared to go down swinging. Clutch mentality and intangibles, even if the shot was a 'lucky bounce'( or 4).

OP must not have actually seen the shot. It was dead on line but barely short. It didn't bounce left or right. The first bounce was straight up.

So if Kawhi had put up one of those shots that gets like halfway down and then somehow climbs back up and crawls over the rim, you'd be telling us 'He didn't choke, he was just unlucky."

Of course it is.
If you shoot while the clock is expiring and it goes it than it was a clutch shot.

I thought it was a very clutch shot :confusedshrug:

Emotional investment aside the shot was a fluke. Tough way to lose but that's sports. Sometimes the sports Gods give a little help

If Ben Simmons took the EXACT same shot and rolled in the EXACT same way it would be called a fluke.
The shot was clutch, but hitting front iron and rolling forward...that had a lot of luck behind it.

A fluke is a fluke. If Kawhi was automatic then there shouldn't have been such an unclean lucky shot.
Was it clutch? Yes. Was it a fluke? Also yes
All skill does is increase your chance at luck
If DeAndre Jordan makes a half court shot it

A buzzer beater to win Game 7 isn't considered a clutch shot? There's some really dumb mother fckers on this forum :oldlol:

How would you define clutch?
Every single basketball play has a probability of working. If it works out we call it clutch. If it doesn't we call it choking. Which, ofcourse is idiotic.
The question we should as is, was it a good play or not? Despite what you might think, it was a reasonably good play. Kawhi didn't have much better options.

Alot of games have been won or lost on a bounce here or there. Dems the breaks as they say, heartbreaking way for the Sixers to lose but that's sports. I like the fact that Kawhi put the team on his back, we're seeing the maturing of a superstar in his prime but ISH wants to debate the semantics of whether it was clutch or luck. It was a binary event with only one of two outcomes, either it was going in or it wasn't.

The act of the shot was clutch. He accepted taking the game winner and threw it up. The shot in itself was a fluke.
Has anyone ever played league ball? What happens when you hit a 3-pt bank and don't call it? You get clowned. The shot in itself was similar due to it hitting the front iron and taking an EXTREMELY favorable bounce. If this was a regular rec game the shot would be clowned. But due to circumstances it's considered clutch. It ended a teams run.
OP I'm not even joking I just logged in and I already want to knock you out.

It was the first game winner at the buzzer in a game 7 in NBA history. Of course it was ****ing clutch. Was it lucky too? Yes. That doesn't mean it wasn't a clutch shot though.

He puts great spin on the ball, it makes it more likely to get a roll or bounce like that.
