View Full Version : Why Lebron only won 51 w/ Kyrie in 2017? Why loser or underdog every yr w/ Wade/Kyre?

And Wade was the 2nd or 3rd best player in 2010 - so how can the "goat" team up with the next best player and then lose or be the underdog for most years?...:biggums:... I know - he ain't the goat... :confusedshrug:

Doesn't it seem weird to lebron fans/media that the so-called goat could team up with other great players and then mostly lose and be the underdog????... :biggums: ..

So the goat is a perennial whipping boy regardless of cast?... :facepalm

And before lebron's loser/underdog years with Wade/Kyrie (11-18'), he lost as the favorite from 09-11', and missed the playoffs with an all-star in 05'.

He's a career-long underachiever because his ball-dominant skillset doesn't get the best out of teams, or develop teams - so he team-hopped for ready-made vets, but his style still prevented dominant favorites.. an overrated punk that was exposed this year out West

because he's not very good at basketball

kyrie hates him... think about that, emotional crazy off the wall kyrie who is well loved by the leagues players literally makes it clear how much he hates him.

his own teammates on the lakers despise him

the guy sucks

That was just 1 year that MJ was an underdog with an all-star

Lebron was an underdog with TWO all-stars in 12', 14' and 17'

Were the Heat favorites in 2011? They had 2 all-stars

How about the Cavs in 2017? They had 2 too

Ultimately, MJ was the most unbeatable with an all-star (6-2)... Lebron is shit with all-star teammates (3-7)

Change that goalpost

"That was just 1 year that MJ was an underdog with an all-star"

Why did MJ sweep his ass in 1996?
A fully healthy Magic squad was swept the year before.

It's all they have since the guy is a 6 time finals loser. Imagine caring more about stats that actual wins. They have no concept of what has more meaning to a franchise or the impact winning has.

All the graphics in the world can't beat 6 first-option rings, 6 fmvps, and 6/6, while being the all-time PPG champ, PER champ and WS/48 champ

6 rings.. only player averaging over 30 for their career, only player over 30/5/5 ... this alone beats everything in that graphic

Kyrie and wade are both ball dominators as well... Wade with the high PnR spam, and kyrie straight isos... So some of the blame goes to them as well.

LeBron has never played with a great team player ~ curry, Duncan, Kobe etc.

kyrie and wade are allowed to be flawed - they're secondary players - but lebron is the #1 guy, so he needs to be a great team player like curry/duncan/Kobe, or he falls short of their level

Because Lebron > Jordan.
Right that makes sense

The greatest player ever teams up with the next best player in the league and proceeds to lose or be an underdog nearly every year

:facepalm :facepalm .... Sorry bud, but:

goat + next best player = dominant winning, not losing underdog

So something in the equation is wrong... Oh I know - lebron ain't goat

51 games is actually impressive. Nets are currently hovering around 500 with Durant, Harden, AND Kyrie

It always seems more impressive when a perennial loser finally gets that one-off win

So Lebron's rings seem impressive because they happen more infrequently than anyone ever.. he literally has the worst championship record in 3-pointer history

Carry on

He's the only guy ever with 6 losses in 3-pointer basketball history

so that outweighs his wins (which were mostly bailed out by teammates anyway.. he's literally a couple bounces away from being a 2/10 bum.. goat doh herrrderrrr)

How about the only number that actually really matters when it comes down to it?

Rings as Best Player:

Russell: 11
Jordan: 6
Kareem: 4
Duncan: 4
Lebron: 4

Note: I give best player credit to those that are 1a/1b on title-winning teams like Kareem in 1982 and 1985 and Lebron in 2020. They also have to play at superstar level so Duncan in 2014 and someone like Billups in 2004 that are parts of ensemble squads don't make the cut here.

So when the Clippers lost 70 games, did we ignore the losses and say "clippers won 12 games and are great!!"

Of course not

Losses matter, so you should've had another chart that shows lebron leading in losses

ultimately, ranking high in rings means little when compared to someone else that won just as much but didn't lose as much
