Statement loses value since Anton didn’t even make the playoffs out west. It’s like someone saying the Championship goes through Jordan during his Wizards years

Lebron only carried a weak team to the Finals 1 time when everyone else was doing it - 5 weak teams made the Finals from 01-09' (AI, Dwight, Lebron, Kidd) - but even though a good team wasn't needed to win this weak conference, Lebron failed in 09/10' and then stacked the deck to ensure Finals runs from 11-18'
So don't give me the played out "lebron carries teams to the Finals" fairytale - that was never true and was exposed this year in the West..
Ultimately, he only beat the West 3 times in his career (3/9), so he would only make 3 Finals for his career if he was in the West.. that's why Finals record matters - otherwise your Finals appearances are conference-dependant

It was a cakewalk for anyone in the east that was on a stacked team. LeBron needed to be on the most stacked teams each year in the east to get to the finals. We saw that when he didn't have a stacked team, he couldn't do anything.

Nope, we are talking about the guy who teamed up with #2 and #4 in PER and got manhandled by Jason Terry and JJ Berea.

Any team with Lebron on it is stacked by the virtue of having Lebron on it.

Giannis is talking about the entirety of lebron, i.e. his big 3's
Lebron couldn't make the Finals in 09' and 10', so he teamed up with stars from 11-18' to ensure Finals runs
He teamed up despite a weak conference that didn't require a good team to make the Finals (5 weak teams made the Finals from 01-09).. but again, he lost in 09/10, so he needed to team up to make the Finals - I.e. if 09' dwight got Bosh/Wade, he'd make a bunch of Finals in a row too
^^^ this is all common sense and ignoring it is what caused the shock when lebron missed playoffs out West (got exposed)

PER? Karl Anthony-Towns was#4 this year in PER. And Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry weren't even top 10.
Next :pimp:
Also:
Unfortunately, we do not know for certain how Hollinger generated these elements of PER. However, Hollinger himself revealed that their development was tweaked so as to ensure that Michael Jordan would hold the league-leading PER at PER’s inception.

"Stacked" but never favorites????... :biggums: ..:whatever:
That's the problem - somehow his presence almost never produces winning favorites
How can the "goat" team up with the next best player in the league but then lose or be an underdog in 2011 and 2012?... How is that possible for the "goat"?? ..... goat + next best player = dominant winning, not perennial underdog status and losers
And why did he only win 51 games/underdog with Kyrie in 2017, instead of 60+ wins and closer to favorite status like Kawhi that year?.. Why? Why always underdog despite great teammates?
so wtf are you talking about "stacked", yet always an underdog or loser... Literally almost always
.
Bro, I know you haven't watched a game since the 90s but let me fill you in on a few things and keep you up-to-date since you are still used to 90s basketball

•#2 options score more than 10.7 ppg
Regular Season
J HORNACEK:f. 17.7 PER.. 58.2 ts.. 0.154 WS/48.. 3.0 BPM.. 117 ortg.. 108 drtg
K THOMPSON:. 16.4 PER.. 57.5 ts.. 0.110 WS/48.. 0.2 BPM.. 109 ortg.. 108 drtg
Playoffs
J HORNACEK:f. 16.5 PER.. 57.5 ts.. 0.145 WS/48.. 3.9 BPM.. 116 ortg.. 108 drtg
K THOMPSON:. 13.9 PER.. 55.7 ts.. 0.094 WS/48.. 0.9 BPM.. 107 ortg.. 109 drtg
30-52 won't make the playoffs
Neither will playing the 38-win wizards in the first round
•zone is now legal
Not in the paint
In the paint, defenders must stay within "armslength" of an offensive player, or vacate the paint - having to hug your man ("armslength") is the exact opposite of a zone and the strictest defense possible other than requiring defenders to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their man
• one-dimensional scorers like Jordan, such as Iverson and Carmelo Anthony don't cut it anymore
Except....
only Jordan averages above 30/5/5 in regular season, playoffs, or Finals
Jordan led his team in playoff assists in 88', 89', 90', 91', 93', 97' - that's 6 of 9 playoff runs alongside Pip
MJ led bulls in passing, while having the biggest scoring edge over his 2nd option ever, by FAR..

Stacked teams underachieve - that's the point - so they fail to achieve favorite status/great team status, usually because they're doing something wrong
For example - the "goat" teamed up with the next best player in the league but then lost or was an underdog in 2011 and 2012... How is that possible for the "goat"?? ..... goat + next best player = dominant winning, not perennial underdog status and losers.. so they weren't doing it right
And why did lebron only win 51 games/underdog with Kyrie in 2017, instead of 60+ wins and favorite status like Kawhi that year?.. Why? Why always underdog despite great teammates?.. it's an underachievement, so he's doing something wrong
The goat should always be favored in theory.... At least when he has good supporting talent.... but lebron isn't, which proves he's doing something wrong - his ball-dominant skillset prevents teams from playing a brand that can win frequently
Im so nba'd out
