Marco Belinelli. If the Suns take him then he will thrive in that system. Atheltic, good shooter, and can D up. Good potential.

Biggest steal, DJ Strawberry. He'd be a great backup gaurd for almost any team since he is a great all-around basketball player. I am hoping Chicago goes for him with their 49th pick. Or possibly trade Chris Duhon to try to get him.

Thaddeus Young should go #3-4 in the draft this kid is gonna be a stud!

schoon07
06-25-2007, 10:28 AM
Rodney Stuckey. I dont care if he played at EWU or not he can flat out score. He has done great even against better competition. He gets to the free throw line alot and he has a really good shot. He has tools to be good on D. He may take a little while to develop but i think he can be really good. Another guy who i think could be a steal is Crinttenton.

Taking Big Baby could go either way. . .

The probable scenerio would be that Davis gets chosen either late in the first round or early in the second and if he pends out & reaches his maximum potential then he could eventually become a steal for any team that bids on him. . .

Its not everday you come across an athelte who's 6"9 / 300lbs with agile qualities & ball handle ability such as Glen Davis. . .

And on a plus note,
Davis appears to be a really genuine man outside the game of basketball which is always an added benefit. . .

people are sleepin on arron afflalo. this guy is goin to be a really good player. he has the potential to be a shut down defender and he can score a bit.

the_player
06-26-2007, 05:23 AM
Marcus Williams is a sleeper...if he goes in the 2nd round he'll definitely have a chip on his shoulder and a lot of teams will regret on passing him

thaddeus young is the biggest steal i hope the warriors or lakers nab him. he wasnt all too good at GT because of their system. if he gets his free roam he can be an amazing player as he has displayed in high school on the US national team, and on his AAU team.

Josh McRoberts......kid can play when he puts his mind to it. Hes projected to go Late in the first round and will be a solid player for any team that picks him up anywhere after the 15-20 spot IMO. This draft is so deep, alot of players could step up and be a huge contributor given the right cituation and opportunity. Im so excited for Thursday////Portlands gotta go with Oden. I think all this Durrant might go first is just a media move to make a story.

I agree with this list completely.

I would add Aaron Afflalo to the list of potential steals. I really like his game and I think that he can become a very good player. I see a little bit of Michael Redd in Afflalo.

jared dudley, marcus williams, josh mcroberts, daequan cook, and i honestly think given the right situation, mustafa shakur could be a huge steal - put him on a team like the suns or nets to learn behind kidd or nash and he'd be stupid not to have great future...

2007 draft Oh.. oops... Not sure how you can say anyone is a steal until they play and are picked... It might end up that all these "steals", that people expect to go late in the second round... end up going in the lottery.

I feel like Jeff Green could be a steal. In the latest mocks he isn't even a top 8 pick. He is easily a top 6 player. Green is a great swingman and has a great eye.

Rudy could be a good player in the future, but not really the steal of the draft. He has a lot of things to improve, e.g. not to fall down to the court on every body check to look for a foul...

Nick Fazekas at no. 34.

To actually get a player who averaged 20 and 10 at that spot means quality. Name another player other than Fazekas who averaged 20 and 10 before entering the draft? Kevin Durant Folks.

Yea bust Fazekas was horrible when the spot light was on him in March Madness, he became invisible on the court.... 20 and 10 in college, but does he have what it takes to translate to the next level? If so then of course it's a steal but I just don't see 30 teams passing on a guy if they didn't see something in him that made them think not.

i have lots of steals
i can't pick one
belinelli at 18, w.chandler 23, affalo 27, pruitt 32, fazekas 34, g.davis 35, j.davidson 36, haluska 43, mcguire 47, a.gray 49, and h.hill 55.
all look like they'll make opening day cuts on their teams

deep draft, maybe because of the new one and done rule?

Charlotte should be charged with with robbery after what they did to GS. Not only do they get a pretty good player in Richardson, but the 2nd round pick they get in Davidson could end up having a better career than even Brandon Wright.

The biggest steal was definitely Sean Williams. I watched him at BC and he is an absolute animal with potential out the roof. He handled KG very well the other night against the celtics to my surprise and he also got in good position on him on offense with a high release point. He is developing an offensive game and he already has the defensive presence of a legit NBA big man. He should be fun to watch in a few years.

Belinelli wasn't that good of a steal he's only a mediocre shooter, not much better than Baron Davis and Baron sucks at shooting. And shooting is all belinelli does

Morris Almond-He tied the NBA Development League scoring record, pouring in 51 points to lift the Utah Flash to a 118-116 overtime victory over the Austin Toros on Friday at the McKay Events Center. This Kid would going to be a special player in the near future if ever the Jazz finally elevated him on their main roster.

Gotta love Sean Williams. If he hadn't smoked so much pot at BC, he would have been top 10 for sure. If he gets some time with Boone or Magloire, he will easy average 14ppg, 8rpg and i think around 3bpg. I might be a little biased, but i reckon he can do it.
