And people on here say I don't know shit about basketball. This is not the strongest title run of all time. People act like Dirk did it all by himself. Shawn Marion, Jason Terry, and Jason Kidd were all high level players. Dirk wouldn't have won a ring if it weren't for Marion's defense on Lebron in the finals.

2012 LeBron was more.impressive tbh

Took down 3 Super teams in a single playoff run

Averaged 30pppg with a 30 PER

Dirk was impressive but not GOAT

Dirk was impressive but not GOAT

First round vs Knicks: 0 MVP
ECSF vs Paces: 0 MVP
ECF vs Celtics: 2 MVP's
Finals vs OKC: 3 MVP's

so;

Eliminating 5 MVP's with another MVP

vs

Eliminating 6 MVP's without any MVP's.

Let's get this straight...
So when LeBron beats KD, Westbrook, and Harden it's an asterisk because they were "babies".
But when Dirk beats them a year earlier they're MVPs.
Y'all and these agendas:oldlol:

Im so nba'd out

Marion shutdown lebrons defense too? :lol

come on little fella, rub those 2 tiny brain cells together and start a fire in there.

but to answer OP beating an over the hell kobe and sophmore harden means nothing.

Now him beating the heat in the Finals was impressive.I'll give him that and that blazers team was stacked.

think they had roy, miller, crash, crawford, ect...something like that

2012 Heat 3rd option: 27yo Bosh 18PPG on 49%

2011 Dallas 2nd option: 33yo Jason Terry 15.8PPG on 45%

They were not MVPs that season.

All-NBA is a better indication of their strength.

Mavs: 2nd Team (Dirk)

Blazers: 3rd Team (Aldridge)
Lakers: 1st Team (Kobe) & 2nd Team (Gasol)
OKC: 1st Team (Durant) & 2nd Team (Westbrook)
Heat: 1st Team (Lebron) & 2nd Team (Wade)

It might actually be the strongest title run ever.

Nobody does it all by themselves...and that Mavs team around Dirk was better than their individual parts.

I don't think it was the strongest run of all time either. Not close imo if just talking about individual play.

In terms of team achievement...certainly in the conversation for biggest underdog team to ever win a title.

And, it seems that people either seriously over-rate or under-rate Dirk's help. That team, when Dirk played, was really good...but the moment Dirk was off the court...it cratered all year.

Hard not to give Dirk a ton of credit when historically speaking that was one of the weakest supporting casts to ever win the title...and they did it against some stacked squads.
