The Saudis and the Israelis seemed to heavily influence if not entirely control our policies.

Will the Israelis fight Iran? Nope.
Will the Saudis fight Iran? Hell no.

Who Benefits from this? Well, the Americans will continue to have incredibly cheap fuel prices. Israelis will have better security so that they can finish taking all the land away from the Palestinians. The Saudis will have better security as well...They are also busy expanding their control over their neighbors.
